No, seeing as most of those fighting for improved Gal's call those wanting T4/5 Constitutions "whiners", I'll stick to the same terms for them. The Gal was/is/and always will be a useless POS. AND it's more than a hundred years old by now, so gee, I guess it should never be able to keep up with a Sov, Avenger, etc? right? Oh, and since the Defiant's only a little newer than that, there's no way in hell it should ever be able to be brought on par to a MVAE, Patrol Escort orany other "modern" ship...right?

I have a beef with Cryptic about the Galaxy and yet I have always supported this requests by the Connie/TOS fans for their ship. If I was to judge the entire group of people that want a T5 Connie based on your childish reply here, I would take a storng stance against this then. Luckily, I'm not naive enough to judge an entire support group of people based on one individual that shares their opinion on a single topic.

No worries. And yes, only the TOS Connie has specifically been banned. The status of the TMP Connie remains uncertain, AFAIK.

Regarding T5 Connie... Look at what they DIDN'T do for the T5 Galaxy. Don't expect ANYTHING to happen for the Constitution, ever.
Try taking the T2 Connie into Tau Dawa with rep gear... it's fun and survivable! Do not take too much longer to complete missions - but then I run it with my Engineer.
2x dual beam arrays up front, a beam or two (or a torp) in back. It moves fast like an escort, so dual beams make more sense. Ensign tactical: BFAW or BO, otherwise Engineering team and Science team.
Do not take it into STFs and other multiplayer content, but you can still get your Constitution fix in other content.
Use the T2 - it's still fun. I am also a member of the Star Trek Battles channel and we do content with canon ships, sometimes even the lower tier ships.

If you are really hot about a T5 Enterprise use the Ambassador class Retrofit. It was used by the Enterprise-C, looks a lot like the couple of hundred year old Constitution and has the 'modern' layout usable in this era. They were used in the Dominion War were they not? Any Constitutions used there? Of course not.
Look if STO was set back in the TOS era that would be one thing but Starfleet obviously decided that they were no longer viable for upgrades and refits.
Look, the Battleship Missouri was updated a number of times and was used as recently in the first Gulf War but eventually the Navy put a fork in it and retired it to a museum piece.

One of my toons is decked out in TOS gear...I role play that his connie time traveled to the future. I use the blue phasers and everything...lots of compliments during a Dyson battleground run.
I fly my T2 connie during missions from level 1-50 and when doing STFs and the like i switch to an Oddy cruiser I have.

Well, I took my Sov-R to the ship tailor and tried to get it fairly "Enterprisey" lol.
I went with Material 1,
Saucer - Noble - Aries
Hull - Noble - Orion
Nacelles - Regent - Corvus
Neck - Regent - Gemini
Pylons - Noble - Cygnus
and a nice dark blue color for the stripes.
It looks okay like that I guess. Kind of Enterprisey, and kind of more modern I guess. That's all I really want is that 60's *style*. I don't like the Regent saucer, it reminds me of a toilet lid.

Okay... all I was doing was trying to think of an idea to satisfy people on both sides. Apparently I was wrong, evil, horrible and sinful to try to do that. Like I said, I was just throwing an idea out there. I mean, far be it from me to try to break people's "game immersion" when every other ship you see is a Jem Hadar or a Dread (smh).
But fine. Okay. You can not comprehend when I say "that 60's look". You still must think I actually mean the TOS Connie, instead of a costume or material variant, or just a style. How do I REACH THESE KEEDS?!?!
Okay. (deep breath). How about this... Starfleet, in it's infinite wisdom, and in tribute to one of it's most iconic designs, comes out with a Constitution II Class, that borrows design cues from the first Connie, but is actually a bigger, more capable, T5 ship, that you can't fly until you ARE T5 and pay 2500 Zen etc etc. Maybe even based on the Sovereign platform.
Once again... just some ideas... throwing it out there... no dead horse being beaten... if anything, I just brought the shovel, and buried it. M'kay? m'kay. I'm sure I'm not the only one tired of flying stuff that looks like toilets.
And you know what? If you disagree, I really don't care. I realized a long time ago, that some people just aren't happy until they are utterly miserable. And everyone else around them as well. If this is you, go get therapy. I'm not taking anything away from you by trying to enjoy MY game, which I have spent a lot of money on. And besides, it's been a 99.9% single player experience for me anyway. Nothing I do in this game will have any effect on you and your game experience whatsoever. You're just being deliberately contrary, probably out of boredom. And all I did was try to think of an idea.

Seriously though, I like the idea of a tribute to the original Constitution... that is NOT a Constitution.
A ship that has straight edges and simpler geometry... but this is what I see the Ambassador and the Excelsior as, at least in my own eye. No they are not tributes, just earlier designs.
