you have all been there, 5 man team, 2 team mates having a crazy amount of injuries, left unattended. often time these folks end up taking a few pot shot and afk for the rest of match, or they may come alive during boss battle (to get credit) i was thinking if you have above a certain amount of injuries you cannot q for team events. (who wants a teammate so debuffed by dmg before the match that they cannot tank or do dmg?) this wont stop true farmers, but it will improve dmg/ tanking among teams in pve q's. heres hoping this gets a good look over:) perfect world , and cryptic, you have done great things for this game, been a happy player for many years, here is to many more!
those people are sorry excuse of life, waste of oxygen and precious space on this planet. In short, they are subhumans and worth less than a piece of cow dung.
That says, if you see such people, either leave the map without saying a word (or with an announcement that why are you leaving) if possible, or simply play in normal.
Grinding for MkIV epic gear?
Ain't Nobody Got Time for That
Just reduce the rewards based on the number of injuries you join the match with.
If you heal any injuries in the first 1-2 minutes, that should not result in a penalty.
Problem fixed.
sometimes we forget... I've had several runs with no injuries and then a run chock full of injuries and forgot to go heal. it's why i keep supplies on me
They should get rid of the damage and injuries completely in my opinion.
Specially the damage to your ship is just a nuisance by now. You generally are drowning in components anyway, if you don't blow up every two seconds or you can just buy them stack wise for little money. So the only thing they do, is annoy you, when you get blown up and then you have to click through all the screens, before you can rejoin the fight.

They (repair supplies) work just fine if they're in the bank, too.
Game won't let you queue with at least 1 critical injury, 3 major injuries, 5 minor injuries or 1 major and 3 minor injuries.
Problem solved?
BS I seen people in que's with several of the stated injuries, it does not stop people from joining.
Thickie question but how can you tell they need repairs? I didn't know it was visible.
I tend to do "repairs" whilst I'm in the re-spawn counter but I didn't realize everyone else could see I was falling apart
And people can see then on their screens it is the same place you see there buffs at, all you got ot do is hover your mouse over them and read what they are.

Dude, chill.
I used to get pretty annoyed too, but not so much these days. It's just a game.
It is still a problem though. Perhaps changing the injuries themselves? Like a weapon malfunction doesn't drain damage of the weapon, it outright stops a weapon from firing and locks out the slot on the equip screen. If engines are gone you travel at a snails pace in zone and sector space.
Make so players have no choice, they have to fix their ships if they want them to do anything.
The thing about injuries is that they're only useful for exploration based content. Considering everything is Queue based now, it's made the system almost pointless.

He was suggesting it as a solution, not stating it already existed in the game. :P
It is annoying when you join a mission and see a team mate who's in no fit shape to hold their own. I always repair my injuries as soon as they occur, I don't see it as a big difficulty or cost.
Sometimes someone will say something when they join like "oh TRIBBLE, forgot to heal", so in those cases I'll move beside them and use my heals on them. Because everybody forgets sometimes.
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.
True alters don't have a "main". Account wide unlocks for all unique event rewards!!

^^ this but maybe go one step further like something like this a minor to your engines cuts your speed down 25%, major 50%, Critical 75-100% same thing goes for weapons and if it there for a long period of time with a critical injury maybe a item eventually breaks, although this would not apply to every thing but it would get people to pay attention especially if you have fleet gear, and another thing do something like Neverwinter does have the screen flash across the screen that you are injured a "your ship is damaged" or "you are injured" in big red letters every 30 seconds will annoy the player enough they might just get the hint.
One thing that I have seen is that a lot of players seem to be unaware that you can repair ship injuries while you are under Red Alert. I have actually asked players if they need components (assuming that the reason for not repairing was because they had run out), and received replies to the effect of "I have to wait for the battle/Red Alert to end before I can do that". Apparently the mentality is that because you can not swap gear while under Red Alert, you can't use repair components either.

the way he stated it made it sound like it was already in game, my bad, but how do you heal another person like you said, I was always under the impression they had to do it themselves, yes if I have some heal on me and someone needs them I will trade to them to help get rid of them but I was not aware that you could heal another person.
I always keep a few stacks of all three heals in my bank, but occasionally I have a few from drops in my inventory.

Nonono, I still remember, when the game was released, people were up in arms that there was no death penalty at all in the game and that it was an absolute must-have for any decent existing game and if you don't have it the game was as good as dead and was for the lazy kids and what not.
Yeah.. Okay. I don't really care either way.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
Making the injuries more injurious, such that players won't say "oh I can just ignore them", might help. At present, a Mild Injury reduces the effectiveness of the damaged system by 5%, a Moderate Injury by 10%, and a Critical Injury by 20%. Multiplying this percentage by three or four would motivate players to heal their injuries ASAP rather than just trying to shrug them off.

Well, since "Fixing" damage is free on ESD anyway....why not just do a full repair on every ship that accepts the Que invite....?

Well, i understood each word individually in that, but i still don't know what it means.

system Lord Baal is dead
oh my word, punctuation!
er....and how does making your own team magically heal injuries?
this thread title is new suggestion to avoid teammates with a million injuries in pve q's and your trying to call me dumb
system Lord Baal is dead
No, I'm trying to ask you how making your own team apparently means that nobody has any injuries on their ship.

Injury = not joining a match. Period.
It's not like fixing them outside a match would be an issue of any kind. And I might even remind those who forgot to fix them to do so.
What is the point in injuries anyways since they are freely repaired?
I thought WoW's forums had angry elitist snobs, but I never could have imagined the level STO forums has.
