I got lucky, it kicked me after I had just finished the Mirror Event and got the rep token but that was only on my first character and I still had a lot more to go for today. They said they were going to extend this after the Friday issues, now they better extend another week as these downtimes really throw off the 20 hour timer for most people.
I have played numerous MMO's, why is it that Cryptics poor hamster seems to die every couple of weeks? Why does the server go down at least once a month? Perhaps they need to borrow a few hamsters from other mmos and crossbreed?
This is just the 2nd time in my 8 months the other being the one from last week.
I was in the middle of fighting off the evil terran empire.... now the Remans will have to fend for themselves....oh wait...they always do that and lose

I was going to say something similar. I've played a lot of MMO's and never seen one down as much as STO. Anyone in the know able to explain why STO is down so often and for so long?

As someone who has worked in, planned for, and partially managed a data center of significant size, this "hardware failure" excuse is getting old.
Either admit you're being DDoS'd (if you are), fire your ISP or networking staff (since that's the most likely bottleneck that would take down multiple games), or make it known to your data center provider (if it's outsourced) that they have (x) days to clear it up or lose the contract.

on a positive note my team was horrible and the station was down to 4/10 so, as long as the server comes back up soon, I'm fine with a do over.
They need to add a couple more days if not a week at this rate.
