    Network outage. Either with their internal network stuff...or their provider...Could be either tbh.

    If Scotty was a PW Engineer working on the Enterprise:



    Kirk: How long will the repairs take Mr. Scott?
    Scotty: At least 40 minutes Captain. It's a mess down here.
    Kirk: Scotty, we don't have 40 minutes! I need the warp core back online in 10 minutes or were all dead!
    Scotty: I'll do what I can Captain.

    10 minutes later the Enterprise is destroyed by a supernova just as Mr. Scott picks out his first tool.

    Yes, I think that's what sells it to me as 'real' Trek more than anything else. I've recognized the name of the writer on all 5 of the episodes I've seen so far too and it looks like they dipped into the well of writers they had for the original series pretty heavily. That sells it too.

    its Friday.. they worked on it diligently until 4:30 at which time happy hour began.. 7:30 rolled around and now they're crawling around the server room looking for the cat5 port to plug the server back into

    If Scotty says 40 minutes, but was given 10, he would do it PW engineer or not.

    Its freakin Scotty we're talking about. He lived in a transporter buffer for 70+ years!

    I will probably get a ton of negative coments from saying this, but i want to say thanks to all the guys that are working on the problem,also thank you very much for extending the event for us.I am a monthly subscriber(gold member) and while i am frustrated at the problem i realize,TRIBBLE happens,and that yall really do try and get it fixed.thank you for all that you do.
