Completely ignoring the fact that there are so many people who are not satisfied with what has been done. Cmon guys, is there really NOTHING more you can do for the Galaxy?

Bundling it up for us and throwing it at us with a discount is NOT the way to go.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once. B)

Pretty much what was said above...

What's painful to see is all these close up advertising shots of the ships (like on the launcher now) which all it REALLY shows is how dated the models are including how off center the Dreads lance is...Especially with a pic of the new Avenger right next to it.

Look at the bright side, guys. We got a free saucer separation and hanger bay out of it. Cryptic will continue to press forward with their own designs, where they'll be free to configure them as they see fit from day one. I'm expecting less and less 'Trek' in the ships as we go forward from here on out.

Well this ships a fail, we asked for changes, got basically nothing we asked for. Its as if everything was rushed with no consideration for what we the players wanted and have been requesting for years now.

This may seem like a load of TRIBBLE from an upset player however even a pic of the ship from the Zen store itself taken from IN GAME on the live server shows the overall lack of caring put into this ship.

I am saddened by the apparent lack of caring, for this ship, for us the players that have repeatedly asked for changes to make this ship line what it should be only to get handed this very sad excuse, and for the overall state of this game if this is the continued level of "quality" that we are continuing to receive....

I'm glad to see that i'm not the only one disappointed in how cryptic has handled this so far. To make matters worse, people who have already paid for two ships, still have to pay full price for the third even though they've already paid enough for the three pack, then on top of that, they need to pay more for the module to get the Fleet version.

All this, and they still haven't even fixed the freaking models either. At this point, it seems more like they're punishing fans of the Galaxy, instead of just ignoring them like they did before.

It seems to me this whole reboot was just aimed at selling the bundle. Or basically the Galaxy-X, plus the other ships for the consoles.

Tell you what - I would've purchased the Galaxy-X if you had properly 'updated' the Galaxy-R.
Yeah, just to show some gratitude and goodwill. I'm not really interested in the dread tbh.

Needless to say, no amount of Zen was spent.
Now how's that? That plan didn't work out.

Put some +phaser damage on that galaxy console 2 piece. You could go all the way up to 20% and it be balanced since they are limited to the galaxys.

Galaxys flat out look better using phasers.

I want to use the separation console SOOOOOO bad but just can't justify it in my head. There is no room to sacrifice +damage universals and still be competitive.

This is not a suggestion at this point. I'm flat out begging you.

There's a typo in the ingame c-store specs for the Dread.

It's listed as having 2 tac, 2 sci and 4 eng consoles. It has 3 tac consoles - selling it short, there ;)

Seriously, does whoever did this have any self-respect and pride in his/hers work??
I get from CaptainSmirk's reply that it's an obvious error, but really, how is this allowed to even reach holodeck in that form?
Methinks Jack Emmert needs to come over and start slapping some people on the back of the head a bit.

Could just be lighting when the original screenshot was taken. The only white nacelle glow I've seen was with the T'liss/T'varo Warbirds.

So there is no actual basis for much of the expansion that was given to the fleet dread.

For a little background I have been a fan of the excelsior class ever since it first showed up in the movies. I fly a fleet advanced heavy cruiser retrofit. Naturally I would be a bit biased.

Ok, I can see giving the galaxy x saucer separation as a logical and legitimate action, but a hanger bay? Nowhere in Next Gen did Riker or Picard say anything along the lines of "launch the fighters!" Meanwhile, the excelsior class has the in game visuals of a hanger the schematics even show it as a "shuttle bay" taking up 1/10 of the ships volume. (1) The Excelsior has more literary basis for saucer separation than the Galaxy X has for a hangar bay. (2)

This is leaving out some of the other things that are exceptionally annoying like the turn rate of the ship when separated exceeds even the excelsior (yeah, the cruiser that is supposed to have the best turn rate of all the star fleet cruisers) among other minor details.

You forgot something. They flew in a Galaxy Class, not the Galaxy X. The shuttles/fighters are on the Galaxy X. So therefor there should not be an issue with that. Plus the other Dreads in the game has a hanger bay. So this makes the Federation have one to equal them somewhat.

Another thing, during the Dominion War fighters was shown in combat. Some ship had to carry them. So I can see any ship using them during war time to help out.

Lastly the hanger is optional. So you don't have to launch your shuttle/fighter and it don't take up any consul spaces. So in reality you don't even have to use it. Just like the Cloak on the Defiant-R. I put that consul in my bank and used that space for another consul. As I don't want my Federation ships to sneak around.

The lance is ok on the venture model. Even the top is ok. For it the windows on the underside of the saucer are wrong.

Shame too because it is still a beautiful ship. I just wish they took a bit more time for polish.
