In the US unopened boxes of the CE start at $83.99 on Amazon, which is only $4 dollars more than the original sales price at launch which was $79.99.

I got mine for $14.99 at an EB games in March of 2012. :D

The collector's edition is not available via Amazon in the UK either... I already have the RMC but would rather Cryptic put it into the LTS as a way to entice more $200+ subbers. It's only going to make the game stronger. I would rather Cryptic get the money than some overpriced vendor online getting $85 for it (Amazon US).

I think if someone is going to fork over $200-300 for an LTS then I don't have a problem with them throwing in an RMC. It doesn't negate the value of the collector's edition as it was only $80 to start with at the games release. I don't want to see it in the c-store or lobi store for purchase. I think real cold hard cash only for it and then no more QQ about it not being available anymore.

    This guy gets it. +1

I got my RMC in the GOLD EDITION of STO, along with the DS9 uniform code.
Loads of these on eBay (UK)

There's one copy. In a collection of Star Trek games. For ?300.

its not all but a matter of whining but we can have people stomp their feet over disconnection and want free stuff from their inconvenience they expect something in return. but all i was coming up with a good idea to bring some useful item for the game & help grow the game....and for it to be LTS to draw others in & revenue. Trying to come up with a positive idea there "always" has to have people throw in negative replies no matter what it maybe. Im looking at it a way to keep what a game you others are so much into to keep it alive and grow. I just thought a item pretty much impossible to get & helpful could be a nice item to add within LTS for a eye catcher & help support the game.....$$$$.

Cryptic has a long history of holding onto the exclusivity of CE perks with a white knuckled death grip regardless of how much money they can make by re-releasing them. Even after 8 years NCSoft was never allowed to re-release the CE perks Cryptic had in their CoH Collector's Edition.

In this game the have a history of the opposite as well. The Best Buy, Gamestop and Amazon pre-order gift were released to the c-store. The Golden Tribble is the Best Buy Tribble. The Borg Engineering Bridge Officer (Fed/KDF) were the Amazon pre-order. They were account wide unlocks if you bought them before f2p. The Gamestop item was the Constitution and that is still and account wide.

The 2 free uniforms with the collectors edition is TNG and the DS9 uniforms. Guess what, they are also available in the c-store.

There are very few items they haven't gutted to the c-store. normally they are the ones they cannot balance or feel are game breaking. The TR-116 is one of them because the borg can't adapt and you can shoot out of line of sight.

They come and go. I'll admit I didn't check immediately before posting. When I bought my last one, for my wife, there were a dozen (this was just before Christmas). I give it a few weeks and more will be put on by someone, somewhere.

To the OP, people ask for this kind of thing all the time. The TRR-16 rifle (spelling?) is a popular one, as are Chromodynamic armor (Steam) and Neodymium deflector dish (SyFy). So far, very few of these have been added elsewhere despite high demand for them to be c-store items or "perks" for the LTS. don't give up hope though, others such as the Constitution made it to C-store.

Personally, I think the LTS has plenty, without adding the RMC or anything else to it. This, I understand, might not be a popular viewpoint.

Yeah due to Paramount and CBS the RMC is an anomaly, it is a JJ-verse item and will probably stay there. The only ships that benefit are escorts and sci ships to a degree because they cannot slot the 4 devices cruisers can.
Hey I Used to be Captain Data, well I guess I still am in game but the account link really screwed everything up

Becoming a Gold, even if only for a month, and even with a collectors edition, unlocks additional bank, inventory, and account bank slots for any characters that you log into while Gold. These slots will stay with those characters even if you go back to Silver.
Actually, I was just going to ask about this. I bought the CE about 2 years ago, which unlocked the 1 month Gold account and additional bank/inventory slots on my Fed toon.

Fast forward to S7, I create my ROM toon and a KDF toon only to find they don't have the expanded slots. I thought the unlock was account-wide, not just for the toons that were active at the time the Gold account was active.

Nope, it only unlocks it on the active toons. New ones do not have the expanded slots unless you pay for a new month of gold access. I have 3 'expanded gold' toons and 1 'bone stock silver' toon at the moment. Although the silver toon *does* still have access to the account bank - she just doesn't get the expanded inventory/personal bank/BOff slots.

I have to agree giving LTS other items can and will encourage more people to buy the LTS which can't be bad for their profits and in turn has to be good for the game. Why do they think pets/clothing/fireworks are a good thing to give LTS, what are we guys dressing up Barbie dolls? The collector's edition is still available but not from them, they are not producing them any more and so once all are sold profit hits 0... now if like me you enjoy playing this game then thats bad, really really bad because no money means no more add ons and then no more servers. Of course they still get money from people buying ZEN but surely they should want to maximise profits and of course look after their loyal subscribers.

Now this guy isnt asking for free stuff since he has paid for LTS, he is asking for more useful things than aesthetical things. Since you can no longer purchase the RMC edition from perfect world, then I can't see a problem allowing LTS to have that console. In fact to go further I would think that for each season a LTS should receive a useful item or deivice the rest of the rabble don't get, only fair since we paid for the LTS and it don't cost much to make a console or item.

Im guessing those that say no are either not LTS or have the RMC and are trolling becuase their lives are not worth much. The RMC gives you people an advantage, to what advantage does someone who paid the $300 get, we get a useless 1000 day ship maybe they should have made the jem hadar attack ship the 1000 day ship and give this one to those with a Jem attack ship. Or perhaps we have the advantage of being able to fire fireworks in battle. :D

As a member of the aforementioned 'rabble', I ... enh, really wouldn't have any problem with that. LTS is a pretty big leap of faith towards Cryptic and a bit more reward wouldn't be out of order.

The most useful item is the Red Matter Capacitor as it is a 'Device'.

The most disappointing part was ..
    ..."High-quality aluminum-box with hologram-cover"

It is cardboard with silver paper wrapping :(

I think you got robbed lol, my case is actually aluminum. Maybe because mine was a preorder way back when? The great part of the red matter capacitor can be claimed to keerp in a device slot on each ship, it is not limited to one per char.
