I didn't call you arrogant at all.

Post count? What's that got to do with anything?

What self imposed style? I'm simply pointing out that this game has endgame content, but not raiding type content. You're the one trying to impose a style of gameplay into a game from a company that doesn't make that kind of content.

No, my avatar is just a pic from one of my favorite Star Trek episodes. A lot of people around these forums do that kind of thing.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah. You just spent multiple posts calling me names because I was merely pointing out that Cryptic doesn't make games with the kind of content you prefer. And now you're telling me this is just a game and to get over myself?

    You rock!

    Why be condescending?

    The way you spelled color.

    In this British Publication.

    Toodles and cheerio mate old-chap!

Ok, had to drop one more, about this British publication? Lol, you need to get out of your nerd bunker more mate. The daily mail? Ha ha ha, i think you really do get all your info from fox news. I still don't see what being British had to do with anything other than some kind of inadequacy complex because i don't live on cheeseburgers, and i know the names and capital cities of some countries outside my own continent. Oh wait did i make an assumption based on something i heard and saw on the internet? Why yes i did, seems to be a lot of that flying around.

Tally ho, what what! i'm off for a cup of tea chum. You should get yourself some fresh air. :)

It's got as much to do with this back and forth as Magic the Gathering, my avatar and post count? I guess?

You know for someone that is quick to call others a troll ... you sure have brought a lot of relevant facts to this discussion about Cryptic's raid type content.

Well I will say this, at least now I know you dislike Romulan/Nukara/Dyson rep content. And cheeseburgers.

Pip pip and all that gentlesir. Huzzah!

You are a troll because you think that DOFFing and Dabo is end game content.

There need to add harder content that locked behind say lvl 4 of the rep system. There is a frw missions all ready ingame that could be beefed up for teaming e,g that rom mission were u defend new rom. as long as cryptic dont beef npc up so there can 1 shot players e,g invisible 120k borg torp im down for it

So A2B builds use what exactly? To achieve the cooldown usage they require?

Or wait ... do you use a torp boat build? Because they don't need DOFFs to function great, amirite?

Because it takes less than a week to get the DOFFs needed for A2B. So much end game content there...

It's only invisible because Cryptic's culling code is comeplete garbage. They must have gotten it from ArenaNet.

So what? All of the rep grinds are just time gated. Artificially time gated. It's still end-game content. All of it. Doffing and rep grinds. There's your end-game. Starbases and fleet holdings, doffing, rep, you never run out of junk to grind until you do. Then you're bored and you do what you always do in Cryptic games ... make an alt or take a break.

In all fairness, most of the end-game Rep systems do not take more then a month to complete. :)

And Doffing is just one of many end-game activities. I assume most people will want to max-out their Doff skills, plus they will want to slowly upgrade Doffs from White to Purple.

End-game in STO is Rep Systems, Fleet Systems, Doffing, Badge hunting, etc. It is all of them combined.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

I guess all I can do now is drink Romulan Ale and play Dabo. Maybe they can add elite Dabo for more challenge and end game content.

At a certain point that is all any of us can do. My main has all Reps maxed-out. My Fleet is at T5. Most of our side-projects for the Fleet are near maximum. A lot of us are just flying around, Doffing to finish up the categories, grinding Dilithium, and playing an occasional Foundry mission. All of which has nothing to do with how difficult the end-game content should be. :)

Well they do still have those Poker Tables in peoples' interiors that they haven't finished up to make the poker mini-game.

So that could be the elite end-game answer you're seeking.

    ;)

There are a few ways to increase your challenge, use a lower tier ship if you want EVERYTHING to be harder.. Have you tried PVP some very dedicated players their I assure you, No Win Scenario for top end difficult content, And every thing becomes harder with PUGs...

PvPers TRIBBLE and moan when you use mines or cloaks. They say it is cheating to use basic game mechanics. These are the typical people that you encounter in there. Why would I want to play with them unless I gained sustenance from their tears? That would make me into a glutton.

HAHAHAHAHA priceless response, PVP can have some pretty high rewards, structured play (not PUGs) is best, if you have a good fleet with a PVP wing, cross faction alliances etc. this also improves quality of life in this game for sure.

So your saying to put away my ship i have worked for through 50 levels to get more of a challenge? the fact that you can complete end-game content with a lower tier ship is the problem. Do you not see anything wrong with being able to complete stf"s in a tier 3 ship with no gear? As for pvp i agree its the only challenge in the game right now aside from no-win but there is no point to it, no reason to pvp no territory control "they been talking about it for years" no real reason to even build up a ship.

The biggest joke i have heard is "complete stf's faster each time for a challenge" is that what some people find as a rewarding challenge? I know it was not you who said this but it stuck in my mind as being pathetic.

I see two main issues with the proposal.

1.) It's not cost effective to create big, elaborate content that only a small fraction of players will experience/complete.

2.) This game does not need even more power creep with "Raid gear". (Why else would people actually run the content?)

The best compromises I can see are adding optional objectives that require more coordination/everyone to pull their weight and perhaps some special public encounters that heavily punish 'zerging'(a borg boss ship that assimilates defeated players, etc.).

valid, but still if your after a challenge try an STF with 5 connies.... PVP is broken and with so many weird glitch 1hk builds Ive backed away some time ago. Many little problems do exist with the game OFC Im just pointing out wacky alternatives for some fun, hopefully they get these load out (that they are charging cash for) to actually work, saves tray and DOffs but BOffs get unseated leaving tray empty.. WTF is the point.... Im hoping for the "away team of ships" concept to come to fruition, imaging just 1 "escort" slot opened (any ship yu have mothballed helping you)pvp becomes a 10 on 10 epic space battle (Full Admiral) then 2 slots (Fleet Admiral) 15 v 15 (just 5v5 pvp) TOTAL epicness might even surpass Eve for many players... We will see...

Now those are some good ideas

While I appreciate the sincerity, or lack thereof, the recommendation of flying a tier 1 ship in an end level stf is not fun nor is it a challenge.

The truly sad state of affairs for this game is when the fan base is forced to create their own pseudo enjoyment because content does not exist to keep them happy.

Hell.....why don't I try playing STo on dial up while blindfolded and using ony a mouse and no keyboard. I am sure it will be a challenge then.

The fact of the matter is that you can do all that your heart desires up to using only one hand to play the game( which is about, IMO, as stupid as fielding a connie in admiral stf......it still falls on the devs to create content that is suitable for most players.

I fall under the category of an avid gamer and a raider. I have endured all these years since beta and ask only for consideration. The reason I posted this...was for the devs to see.

The rest of you have your own opinions and agendas...I appreciate that.....thanks for sharing.
Today we fight the GAULS......monstrous and HAIRY beyond reason.
