(Un)official announcement: Next livestream smirk promises to push the entertainment envelope by hacking Branflakes' account and will give PWE sandwiches away while playing the No Win!

You beat me to it. :)

Everybody has to start somewhere with the livestreaming. You should have seen my first one.

Actually, it's good that you didn't.

Well, i'd like to congratulate Smirk on a successful...ish first Livestream! Took a while to get to Hassan, but the Valentines Murder Spree was arguably the most amusing thing i've seen all week. Excellent ad-libbing, but maybe be a bit more prepared for the next one :D

LoL I am glad you found the violence amusing :)

This was my baby step livestream, I will be much more prepared next time, so make sure to join us :)

Thanks to everyone for coming out for our Valentines Day Livestream, I had a blast on Nimbus III with my flash mob, it was a lot of fun.

If you want to watch the hot mess that was my first show, please check out our Twitch page at the following link. There are also lots of previous video of BranFlakes for those of you who are having withdrawls :)

Congratz to our lucky winners who walked away with Starter and Legacy Packs, enjoy all your goodies!

Now to start brainstorming on what our next livestream will be....

Brandon has a conservative personality, and that is why I liked his overall style. If I had to go by my first impression, I sense that you have a more liberal and ego driven personality. Brandon seems more organized, laid back, and classy.

First impressions are always the hardest to break.

I felt that the overall quality of the Livestream event had declined.

    Brandon = Johnny Carson personality.
    Smirk = Howard Stern personality.

    Two drastically different personalities.

I felt like I wasted my time watching this edition of Livestream.

Sure, I think Livestream is for relaxing and have fun; however, I do not think calling players 'puppets' is a good start. You were toying with people, and you allowed your 'I am holy than thou' personality to surface.

Livestream was an unorganized and tasteless experience this week.

    You wasted my time.

Funniest Livestream ever. Looks like we are in for a wild ride. Looking forward to the next Livestream. Keep up the good work CaptainSmirk. :)

    SPOILER ALERT
Trevor can't control what other players do (or can he?).
Livestream was once a useful tool, which showed players how missions worked. Sometimes you would learn about hidden game features. Instead of getting useful game tips, the latest version of Livestream digressed to screen spam and jabs.

Smirk wasted your time? Did he force you to watch the livestream? Even with the gifts he gave away, he forced you to watch the livestream? Sometimes, people need to take responsibility for their own actions, and you, venkou, need to do it here now. He didn't force anyone to watch the Livestream, so he didn't waste your time. You, venkou, wasted your own time by watching it of your own free will.

I was really hoping that Cryptic or PWE would have placed someone in this position who had actually played STO and knew something about the game. From watching this ... Travesty ... I see they just pulled whom ever they could find. No offence Sir, but some preparation prior to playing live would have been worth the time. It's obvious you have never played STO before, and I hope this is not an indication of the direction this game is going to go. There is so much that could be done to make this game all the better, but we need dedicated players who understand the game to make it better.

With respect Smirk HAS been playing STO since beta, and knows more about STO than most. He himself has admitted the livestream could and should of gone better than it did, it was his first ever livestream, but sometimes the TRIBBLE hits the fan, and you have to make do with what you are dealing with. As for watching, if you felt it was that bad why did you continue. As for dedication to STO Smirk is as dedicated as most of us EVEN MORE. Since Smirk became part of the Community Team of STO, I myself have gotten to know him well, he is a loving, caring man, passionate about everything STO, and passionate about continuing the standards set before him.

Yeah so what his FIRST livestream didn't go as well as he had hoped. But onwards and upwards.

    Well said.

You players, some of you, always tend to find things that are bad and stick with it so you could post how bad something is and how awesome you are for noticing it; instead of you holding on that good and positive things, and give a constructive criticism for the things you didn't like.
If you keep flaming about everything wrong with this game you won't get anything good back. And you will keep finding them, or rather it will keep finding you.
Enjoy what you have, as I am sure you are considering you still play it. ;)

And when constructive criticism is treated any differently to flaming, then you'd have a point.

But, as things stand, the only responses the Devs make voluntarily is to praise.

Their ability to respond to constructive or any other type of criticism appears to be zero.

Seriously unorganised. How can you do a livestream and not have the missions lined up or even be available. This is only the second livestream i have watched and had to turn this off after he took the group photo. Bring back Branflake for the livestream only then will I watch them again

Disorganized? Maybe. If I had my guess, he was probably one of those guys who decided to charge through other means to level up his characters instead of hitting it one at a time and it came back to bite him in the butt.

...did he ever figure out why that one mission wouldn't let him skip it?

Its like someone said earlier, its hard to break a bad first impression.

I found the live stream to be ill prepared. It felt more like a last minute thing even though it was announced days in advance
I will most likely skip the next live stream and wait for the 3rd or 4th one, hopefully by then his stage fright will be gone.

It was his first one, geez. I guess allowing rookie mistakes the first time isn't allowed anymore.

Thank you i know Smirk will appreciate your comment.

As for everone else give smirk a break. He has openly admitted it didn't go according to plan. It takes a big man to admit their own failings (not that I'm saying the livestream was a faili Smirk).

I feel alot that watched though were NOT there for the actual stream, but to see if they could scoop a prize.

Until you can not see your own failings, stop picking holes in others.

Of course, 99.9% are probably there just for free stuff. I bet if they didn't give away free stuff, very few would tune in.

I think it It was kinda fun. Unexpected and impromptu. It looked like the other players participating had fun. Isn't that what it's all about?

Smirk reminds me of a drinking buddy I had before I got married :D

I've got a gut feelin he's just as crazy :P

I won't be able to do this for my next immediate Livestream, but I really want to play "Mine Trap" with a full team of 19 volunteers. Bring on the Salt Vampires!

I am gonna start making a list of volunteer players soon, so keep your eyes peeled for a new sign up thread :)

    Have a good weekend everyone!

This will be good sense a lot of players do not know what to do when they go there and almost impossible to ever get 20 players coordinated for such a mission event.

One suggestion based on this is somewhat related is having the devs convert the 20 person starbase mission to a cross faction where it loads a random fed or kdf base due to the most you ever really see in the public que for this mission is like 3-4 people and suffers from the lack of knowledge mine trap does. Good luck with this :)

Count me in, Smirk. Can't get enough of minetrap, and it'd be great to have a video from Cryptic/PWE that shows players exactly how you do it.
