I would like to see the old stf's return. The stf's that are up now are way to quick and easy for a lot of players that have been around for a long time.
The old ones would not replace the new ones but would be able to be run like they used to by picking up the mission and going to the planet with your team.
I am wondering if anyone else is feeling the same.
I have to agree and with the old rewards as well. I would like an alternative to the ridiculous grinds I just couldn't care less about to get some half decent gear.

Looking for a new fleet? Drop by the in-game chat channel, "tenforwardforum", and say hi to the members of A Fleet Called Ten Forward (Fed) and The Orion Pirates (KDF). If you already have a fleet you are happy with, please feel free to drop by our chat channel if you are looking for a friendly bunch of helpful people to socialize with.

Retro STF Weekend!
With added Omega mark, BNP, and DIL rewards. Maybe a one time only deal.
they took terradome out out. Been through it several times. actually ran it just for something to do. were not talking about taking the new ones out. they can stay for the noobs, but players who actually have skill and have out grown these 10 minut cake runs would like to have something a bit more challenging to play.
Go play Terradome (if it still exists in-game) to get an idea of why this is a supremely Bad Idea.
Bad Idea? How so? Not like anyone is asking to replace the current STFs, just people wanting the old ones back and have a classic raid-esque experience with a team of their friends.
So people have an option. Go with the queues, or group up and go spend a few hours in the old ones. And if they do bring them back, perhaps some nice rare chance at some unique drops would pique interest in people doing them once in a while.

Part of the fun of the game for me was putting ships and teams together for missions. Leading a group of guys through who have never been before, looking at their builds and equipment tweaking everything to perfection then going in.
I like having someone lead the team and give instruction that have to be followed to the letter. If a mission fails then u know u need to do better because every mission in this game is easily beatable with the the proper team, equipment and training.

Not only that. I liked it to take an evening for "playing sto" making appointments and beeing busy with beating this one b*** of a mission even if it took 6 hours.
Ok that was not the case with the stfs in the end, but when they were new, on the first runs, it was long and fun solving them.
I would love to see the longer old-style STFs return (perhaps with increased difficulty), along with random loot chance at MKXII STF gear. It would make for both a nice throwback for older players, and a sort-of-alternative to the current rep grind.

For the love of God no.
First, you had to know what you were doing before you went in. And even then it was at least 2 hours (if not more) for each.
Finding a team fr them was insanely difficult, even with the chat channel and zone invites. Then, if one person changes their mind and decides to leave, the rest would be screwed. Yes, the old STFs required everyone to play or the whole mission was a failure. So, if one guy takes off early, the rest would follow. I think it was called cascade quitting, or something similar.
Worst of all, after hours of play and many MANY rezes, there was only ONE drop at the end. We all had to roll for the [Borg} proc weapon. And back then, those were some of the best in the game.
Now, with the power creep and lockbox ships and whatnot, I tend not to do STFs at all. I have a C-Store ship fully geared, and I've been asked by teams to leave so they could play without my old ship in their way (that was paraphrased). The only way to win now is with the most OP ships in game and all universal consoles. Let's not forget the purple MKXII gear. Anything blue isn't good enough for the gear grinders, unless it's a Plasmonic Leech or something.
SO...I can't say I agree with you. As it is, I despise the forced teaming dynamic as it is. I think true end game content should be playable by solo players and have the option of teaming (like the rest of the game).
My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.
Slap the ground and Space versions of the missions together and call them Expert (For example: Inected: (Expert)). Combine the rewards too and we'd have the old versions of these STFs back. Include a rare chance to get the same kinds of rewards you can get on Defera as well.
I agree, bring them back as ground and space combined in one mission, with the story element restored. The current half-STFs have lost that.
Obviously they should be fit into the current Omega Mark reward framework, with appropriately higher rewards for the greater commitment they'll require.

Here here! I agree. Bring these bad boys back! At least as an option for those who want longer STF's instead of these easy "fast food" quick play missions.
I wouldn't mind a return of old STF's in either the queues or in the previous mission form.
In fact, I'd welcome the challenge myself. No sure how some of my fleet members would feel about this (there are people with a deep hatred for Terradome). Just as long as the way to make them competitive is not to simply add 20 Tac Cubes. That Hive Onslaught plan backfired, making it just plain annoying to do it. (Except if you fly with the team that has the Queen down 4 minutes after the match starts, but then it isn't a challenge).
Unique rewards, period. They could even return the Borg Medical Kit or the Borg Bat'leth.
I know the former, but not the latter. A bat'leth with bonus against the borg?
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Mhm... No.
I'd lie if I'd say I don't care about rewards, but I'd take any way to get them back.
In terms rewards I'll take anything worth the time (wich a quiet simple concept cryptic to understand, as the lack of adequate reward for mission replays or foundry missions proof), unique rewards would be obviously great but... Not essential IMO

As far as I know they removed it quiet recently...

Also, terradome was fun.

The current ones are just fast food.
Indeed. Still crack up at the coin flipping part.
People in the group were so fixated on looking for the coin flip, that you do the coin flip emote, people would think you was the NPC.
THERE IT IS THERE IT IS THERE.... Oh just you again.
I never got tired of doing that....
You must be joking......... That was the best mission in the game...

Give it good rewards, for a start, and players will invariably flock to it and figure out how to best it.
