~ STO Frontlines, "Incident at Briar Patch" Tournament, 1st March!

Greetings Community,

Important Announcement!

STO Frontline Tournaments are "Special Events" which allow players the chance to come together to enjoy PvP, WITHOUT requiring them to participate in the wider STO Frontlines game!

I must emphasize to participate in the tournament does NOT require you to support STO Frontlines outside of the tournaments. I would like you to, but its totally voluntary.

The tournaments are simply a promotion of STO Frontlines, something which I am hoping participants will want to join themselves, when they want to. Not have to.

At the end of each tournament, whether you win or lose, the option to participate in STO Frontlines will always be there.
~ SETTING ~

Due to the overwhelming Federation presence at the last tournament, I decided to take the fight to the Alpha Quadrant! "Incident at Briar Patch", will be an exciting opportunity for Klingons, Romulans, Tholian, Dominion and Terran Teams to get some pay back!

DATE: 1st March 2014, 15:00 EST (NY) | 21:00 CET (Brussels)

Cryptic has been kind enough to offer the following PRIZES:

"Lucky draw from the pool of participants" A lucky member of the community will be rewarded with their very own Legacy of Romulus Starter Pack!

* 1st place - 1250 zen per player/ winner on team

* 2nd place - 625 zen per player/ winner on team

* 3rd place - Choose one: ToS Formal Uniform, ToS Medical Uniform, ToS Tunic Uniform,
Enterprise Era Uniform

(Please note that these prizes are offered for only this event. All depending on how well people respond, Cryptic may decide to offer similar rewards for other events, but this is not guaranteed)
~ RULES ~

This is a "Special Event" and players are permitted to field any ship of their choosing, so long as they adhere to the following rules:

- The Temporal [Console - Universal - Tipler Cylinder] granting Temporal Backstep, cannot be used on more than 2x vessel.
- The Elachi [Console - Universal - Subspace Integration Circuit], cannot be used on more than 1x vessel.
- The Klingon [Console - Universal - Graviton Pulse Generator], cannot be used on more than 1x vessel.
- All classes must be represented, and no class may have more than two members fielded.
(This may be changed by GM decision depending on adequacy of numbers)
- No Yellowstone
- No (D'Kora) EMP used with a2b.
- TeamSpeak required only for registration & access to gateway (only on request).
- A 30 min time limit per match. Team with the highest score wins. If there is a draw, next kill determines winner.
- Winner Teams furnish screenshot of the results please.
- Multiple Teams from the same fleet + support players may be furnished.
- Players are requested to abide by the rules and show sportsmanship. It remains the responsibility of players that think another team is cheating to provide evidence of wrong-doing.
- NO CONSOLE/ LOADOUT Swapping!!!

    That would be great. Just incase, what should I do, as I can't definatly attend? Should I join and then let you know close to thae date? What about if I forget, as I am quite forgetful?

    No pressure as these tournaments I hope will be regularly held. STO Frontlines outside of the tournaments is ongoing, so you can play with your mates or with others whenever you in the mood.

    Thats why registering on the community site was so important, as it allows others to communicate with you.

    Confused. Tried registering, but it says I need to state the team leader details. As I have no team, and am registering as just myself, do I put me as the team leader?

    Looking forward to the tournament!

    Just wanted to run through some checks.

    This Saturday I would like to meet with some volunteers!

    As you know during the last tournament MY ORGANISATION skills were somewhat @%# :)

    So please... if you have experience in organising tournaments and could help

    Send me an S.O.S ingame mail now and I will contact you asap!!!! < It helps if you visualize me as some poor wretched, parched survivor on a life-raft! >
