No anniversary gifts for Romulans?

Why did the Romulans get screwed out of getting a bridge pack and a ship for the anniversary?

    In case of the bridge pack that should be obvious: they have none.
    Also, the Romulans are less than a year old, what Cryptic is giving out for free is from F2P launch in 2012 or older.

    Firstly these past three days have been an added bonus free gift giveaway pre anniversary.

    Rmoulans have not been screwed out read the thread on the giveaway for today and that will explain that Roms allied with Feds can use the consoles on the Fed ship and vice versa on the KDF ship.

    Dont take mi wrong but personally will ask to made romulans a real faction and no a parasite of fed or kdf like today, then u can ask to get som especific thing for romis .

    by the way the romis can use the free stuff since they are alies of fed/kdf and for no reason this 2 main factions give away to de romis theyr ships for use :P.

    These gifts perfectly showcase how many factions there actually are in STO. But never look a Lazer Megalodon gift shark in the mouth. You will drown in teeth. :P

    Literally everything from the giveaway was available to romulans. If anything, fed and kdf players should be complaining because Romulans got more free stuff than either of them.

    What a Romulan centric event. I demand compensation.

    How many costumes we actually got though? The TNG and TOS one? That's half the costumes if the give away one! Funny enough to think of it the KDF has only one. Fashion is really hard to come by without those pesky humans xD.

    Gessatra has the Horta, has access to the bridge pack for any KDF ships she has (and she had two before yesterday), and now has a third KDF ship. Looks to me like Romulans got stuff.

    Maybe its just me, but i never get my players break themselves into factions. You, the person are able to claim any of these rewards (assuming you dont have them). Your romulan character may or may not be able to use them but that does not take away from the fact that you can still use them.

    Romulans can still benefit from using these ships at lower ranks and get the consoles from them for later ships.

    They can have all four. If you weren't aware, Romulans can use any of their allied faction's tier 1-4 ships.

    The excuse that the ships are useless past level 20 is unjustified. They're useless for Feds and KDF past 20 too. However, everyone can use their console/weapon. Even tier 5 warbirds.

    The excuse that you can't use your allied faction's bridge after 40 is unjustified as well. Use the bridges on the free ships. You don't have to use them on one of you competitive ships or other frequent tier 5 ships. When you wanna visit one of the free bridges, use 8.5's new ship swapping feature.

    So yes, Romulans got plenty from this.

    The roms are getting the best Anniversary gift of them all, immortality.

    Their new ship comes with a built in hull version of the valdore console, and it can equip the valdore console.

    You will be unkillable, as if you werent OP enough already.

    Ok, but if they give away some Fed and KDF costumes and not any Romulan ones then the OP becomes right and Romulans would be missing missing out. That would be unfair.

    We might have gotten a costume piece during the last giveaway. The chainmail shirt?

    Well pretty much romulans as a whole are new to the game. Usually with that being said most products they make are not given away or go on sale within a year of being released. Plus that and the fact that the canon issue is a hot one in *some* regards the limitation on free reign art to try to keep it looking as Star Trek as possible comes to mind.

    Not entirely true. I found my Roms could open the Fed ships every time they came up as free with the only exception being that one Research Vessel. And they seem to be able to use the Khan costume. Nothing Rom specific, obviously, but they still get something, which contradicts your question.

    I always thought that was the entire point of C-Store ships. You'll never use the ship...just the console.

    I'm just glad that I got something out of it (bridge packs). Every time they give away a costume, I feel cheated. I bought all the costumes long ago.

    Roms are due for a major nerf. They completely unbalance the game :P Well, moreso than it is.

    Romulans are where the money is. Why give them something free when you know some player is going to pay a lot?
    I would love to visit this star in-game...or maybe this one!

    For something like this they were only ever going to give away things that weren't selling well. Ergo the items for Romulans, of which there are not very many to begin with, are selling enough to not warrant being given away.

    Eventually when the next exspansion or maybe end of this year maybe they'll give away some low end Romulan stuff.

    Wow..That was like, a total insult to so many people here on the forums.. But I agree totally. Its why i dont play fed or kling characters.
