First, I'd like to thank Cryptic for finally giving us those awesome costumes, they're very truthful to the movies, I love them.
Having those costumes as off-duty is a big miss for me as I'd want my whole crew to be wearing them. I could have a "Children of Khan" crew in a "Stolen Federation ship" fighting for whatever agenda that comes to mind.
Here's a suggestion/request:
Allow duty officers to have "off-duty" costumes and/or a Second costume slot so we can have them match our captain when he changes appearance.
I ask the whole community to support this idea with a "/approved" mention.
I started a post that was moved to the art forums, but it was asking them to make the costume available for all slots, not just off duty. There were a lot of great pieces to that costume that would go great with so many non off duty uniforms.
hello i haven't been able to apply or wear the khan cotume at all even thought i have arc beta and they costume is free it dosn't show me its free when i go to change my characters outfit

From what I understand, you have to log into STO through ARC, then read the Welcome to ARC email, and it should appear in the tailor. No Zen needed.
No reason to restrict any such costume to Off Duty. In fact, I can't think of a single logical reason to divide outfits into categories in the first place.

Perhaps it makes sense in the fact that it 'fits' in the context of the Star Trek universe, but from a gaming perspective you're absolutely spot on -- completely illogical and highly frustrating!

Yes, only in the context of Starfleet does it makes sense, but even there, an open-ended RPG experience includes all kinds of player written backstories, which could certainly include civilian boffs, or an entire rebel crew, or some other such possibility.
But even given the in-universe category divisions, and assuming perfectly conventional player written biographies, it doesn't follow that it needs to be reflected in the interface because it doesn't affect gameplay in the slightest.
What is PW & Cryptic & owners of Trek afraid of? A massive proliferation of be-civvied boff screenshots? lol

We have been asking for same uniforms for crew for 4 years, as well as civvies for buffs
since they launched them
But this was requested since off duty costumes were released. Or better: since they locked out the bos from the duty officer clothes, since it was possible (proving there is no technical difficulty involved.)
Actually I heared it was possible to use the off duty costumes for bos until quiet recently (wich obviously everybody but me knew )
But instead of fixing actual problems in the game they fixed that and broke enough other stuff doing that...
Wich proves: it's not that they can't make off duty clothes usable on bos, they do not WANT to.
I just have not single idea why...
Simply dump ALL "off duty" into "duty" -- just make it one SINGLE pool of choices. There is no reason to divide them, at all.
Well back in the day when the Feds got new costume over new costume over new costume and the kdf got nothing ( well actually technically that situation was not "back in the day" unless yoe consider "back in the day" to be about... Well.... Yesterday) we kept asking to get at least SOME of those uniforms unlocked for both factions.
The answer was (although that is hard to believe) that the kdf tailor might look similar but technicly works completely different then the fed tailor.
May be (if that is true, wich I stil doubt) the off duty slots are the only slots that allow same costumes to work for both /all 3 factions.
Although I wonder why the winter stuff works then....
I don't think there should be any category restrictions whatsoever.
We should be able to mix and match freely, including special costume unlocks like STF gear and Voth Battle Armour etc.

Agreed; it already looks a circus at ESD - making all the costumes mix and match wont change the reality on the ground.
I also agree that there should just be costumes, not on and off duty. Bought the merc outfit for my crew, put it on my captain no prob, then ran into the off duty TRIBBLE so I can't put it on my crew, what a gyp.

If that were done, I'd buy the mercenary uniform pack. And make an all Pakled crew. And have fun.
So I'm on board!
