Uncommon Cardassian lock box turned into common by exchange!?

I have 'a few' Uncommon Cardassian lock boxes. I assume these are therefore the old kind with stuff the new common ones don't have. So I decided to try and sell them, seeing as how there are stacks of 20 uncommon ones still on sale.

I put my UNCOMMON Cardassian lock box onto the exchange, and it turned into a common one...I took it off the exchange, and it is STILL a common one.

What happened!?

    Nothing. The only difference between a "green" box and a "white" box is that the green boxes are green. At one point, all boxes were green, but they were then changed to be white instead. Stacks that were formerly green retain their green coloration, but any newly formed stacks become white.
