Again I will state we all knew this was going to be a tough job to complete.

It should not be easy to get the tier 5 star base and the rest, that is not what I'm debating about changing.

I am not in a big fleet nor am I in a very small fleet we struggle as well. However in my world if I were in a very small fleet and we could not get the star base done I would not be on this forum screaming foul play I would simply look at bringing more members into my fleet so we could get the base built.

Woa there Nelly, nobody is screaming or blowing a tantrum. Its called discussion...

Maybe some people want to keep their fleet personal, a group of close friends who can work together to achieve objectives, what is wrong with that? Why should everyone be forced into having a big fleet?

Is it necessary for every one to aspire to running 500+ megafleets? Nah, it would be better if the gradient was the same regardless of the quantity of players, though I believe that small fleets should have limited growth ability to prevent abuse.

Dont you take the time and look in zone chats there's alot of players looking for a home yes....some only want a tier 3 and above but other players are new to the game. Not to mention you could always start a post on this forum. Anyway thats my two cents.

Thanks for your input, but I disagree with your point of view, the potential for greater profit from sliding scales of fleet size is there, the more tier 5 fleets there are the more !money can be made from fleet modules and dilithium sales from those who are currently locked out by the system in hand.

I'm open to debate as to how it could be implemented, and as I said before smaller fleets should get an equally reduced quota of provisions to keep everything fair.

what i am proposing is to simply allow day one fleets to do all the provisions missions.
It's like a rep system: You have to reach tier 1 before you can get anything. Suck it up.

Snip this from another thread that seems dead now:

Late to this party.. but indeed if they could make this work, I think it would be a boon for us small fleet peeps.

If small fleets could make "contracts" (think EVE).

A BIG fleet user visits their own special OPS console, finds other job needed from other fleets in need. (helps them out since some ppl can not seem to earn Fleet Creds)

Now to keep things for being abused, maybe limit small Fleet contracts to max 2 or 3 a week, so it gives a chance to spread the love, and maybe stems off any exploits.
**Keep the Jobs Anonymous so no favoring fleet?***

If this sounds like a good idea, lets give this process a "Project name" so we can reference it on interviews/tweets/social. Only way to get it out there.
    *******
Off Note: I there a decent Channels to look for Fleet Invites for gear purchasing?

I can understand the problems small fleets face, I myself have a very small fleet so leveling up holdings takes forever, the problem with trying to balance costs though is that it would be difficult if not impossible for the developers to come up with a system that just helps small fleets, after all, theres hundreds of fleets in the game, what could they come up with that scans every single one and helps only small fleets, also what is the definition of a small fleet? 10 or less? 20 or less? 30 or less? It's a very complex problem. The only feasible solution I can think of is if they were to have some sort of limited time event where fleet project costs are dropped by 40% or 50%, that's the best way I can think of to help anyone who feels they are in a small fleet.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Fleet alliances are the way to go. Team up your fleet with others, large and small, in a common private or public channel and allow members to jump between fleets so that players in large fleets have a place to spend their marks and other resources to get their FC's. It's a win-win, fleet members get their FC's and small fleets get help with projects.

It would be even better if Cryptic set up a system just for this purpose.

Why not just build the fleet system to be based on members... like tiers.. The more members, the higher the costs.. but if each member is contributing equally then it completes the same..

whether you have 5 members, or 50.. the project should take about a week..

or design a fleet 'max' system.. when you build a fleet you have a limit.. like..
say you have a fleet of 5.. so your costs are based on that... if you want to add space for more members you need a bigger fleet base, which increases costs, etc.. make it a growing system.. not a static system.
    but thats my 2 cents.

Why not just accept this is an MMO and either join a large fleet or form a large fleet?

If you're trying to go it alone or with 2-3 other active players its just not going to happen. Same with MMOs where the endgame is 20-40 man raiding. Either game on with a large number of other players or accept that part of the endgame content just isn't for you?
