I swear, ever since the Arc beta thead showed up, I've seen nothing but whining from the player base here.
"WEH WEH I DON'T WANT ARC"
"WEH WEH I DON'T LIKE THE NEW EP"
"WEH WEH I DON'T LIKE THE NEW SHIP DESIGN"
"WEH WEH I DON'T LIKE GRINDING"
"WEH WEH I REFUSE TO PLAY AND SPEND MONEY HERE ANYMORE"
And that's only for two weeks. I'm sure there's been a lot more whining in the past, but I feel like this month alone is the biggest I've seen anywhere. What's up with all of this? If it wasn't for the fact I like to look at patch notes, I'd stop coming to the boards until everyone stopped whining.
But, then I'd end up never coming back.

While there is a fine line between vocalizing an opinion and whining, it would seem that people are being more vocal against the direction this game has been taking as of late. Mind you it is a game, so there is going to be a suspension of believeability with certain content additions, there are some things people should and will get verbally disagreeant with. A little grind here and there is no issue, but when a game designs a feature to be a grind, easily updated with other grinds (such as the two rep systems are) than people will obviously get tired of it quickly. Especially when you take into account how many alts they might have. When they first started talking about the rep system, numerous people warned of this exact thing happening.
Arc i can understand because using steam and origin, and what ever else, gets really annoying at times, so having another one pushed on us is less than pleasant.
I'm not sure what you mean by EP though, Energy Proc? Economic Problems? Elastic Pajamas?
The ship designs though, i suppose i can see being an issue for people as well. I for one really enjoyed the look of the Mogh, but found a lot of the Romulan designs lacking. Even the Vet ship has it's issues and could be improved, but over all they're relatively okay by me. For the most part, i hear people complaining about the layout or function of a ship much more often than the aesthetics of it. I suppose we could always use a few more "Traditional" designs, but as long as they stay away from adding more star wars or non trek concepts into the game, the better.

On the bright side, I'd seem to have brighten SOME of your days, so there's that!
But think about it. This is not a console game you put into your Playstation or DS and play a few hours and it's done.
STO is a 24/7 running open-end game. Its evolving and changing. We are the ones, who experience problems first.
And to be honest, in at least the last year, a lot of content has been released without proper
QP. Or if a Fleet can pay 200.000 Dil for a nice picture in the wall (yes I know its optional), then it is our job to complain as long as someone listens.
Whine, whine as far as the eye can see.

EDIT: Wonder what would happen if they gave us a grind and no one showed up to play it?
No matter. After enough whine everything begins to taste the same anyway.

it seems at your expense. if you planned on making a point, dont make it an attack on the community as what happens to everyone here is for a reason even if you refuse to see it for its weight. in this case you wondered through sharknado alley and a few people here have chewed off more then you can recover from. best to leave it be before you wind yourself up about it.
now the trolls are out in force so any intention of this being a reasonable thread is long dead, like the horse it is.
