How do you trololol in Ker'rat?

I do it.. with a B'rel.. and sci abilities that are irritating, but harmless... My favorite troll tools: Tachyon Beam, CPB, GW, VM. :D

What are your troll tools in Ker'rat? ;)
You think that your beta test was bad?

I'm not sure if it's actually trolling, but....

On my Tac, I cloak and find some fleetless player to follow around. The moment someone decloaks to vape him, I attempt (emphasis here) to vape the vaper. Poetic justice, of a sort XD.

On my Sci, playing with doffed TBR is pretty darn fun. It feels like I'm yanking the ship round and round, winding up to fling him off somewhere :D. And sometimes, just as a BoP is running - *nuke* and *YOINK*

Good grief. An escort actually escorting? That's got to be the opposite of trolling....

I cant remember who said it anymore, but I was called "really annoying" in zone chat while in my science brel.

I had actually killed him, but I dont think he realized I was the one that had taken him out in the big tactical dogfight he had been in O_o

Gravity wells, tractor beams, other assorted space magic might be annoying, but subnuc sensor scan and a breen cluster torpedo right to the face is not exactly "annoying"

LOL ive actually seen that done, what was most hilarious about it were the ten guys trying to kill it.

Sometimes I wonder if those guys in Kerrat even know how to read buffs actually, when I swooped in and subnuked and gravity welled a ship like that at just the right moment it popped really fast.

Its like some people dont know what to do when confronted with anything but a cookie cutter build.

200+ impulse corvette with impulse cell, dueterium burn, apo, ph and a few other tricks

often I park, wait for a decloak gank... then hit my 'escape sequence' (700+ impulse!) and leave them having wasted their alpha (often, they get one weapon cycle out before I'm out of range - ph and apo ensuring no tractor shenanigans - and with duet burn and evasives, I can play 'keep away' for far longer than they can...

(and plenty of backup to stop snb being effective/precautions to avoid grav pulse)

....oh, and of course multi-spam chroniton mnes specced to last a long time :p

...Not been in kerrat recently though as the big guns on at my time seem to have got wise to the fact my corvettes a pure trololo boat...

Ker'rat zone chat is a loving nurturing atmosphere conducive to the growth of the fledgling playebase. In no way could anyone take the actions and words of people in Ker'rat as trolling. Seriously Now, there is a sink or swim attitude held by many of the players but a great deal of the trolling is in the chat system. Still lots of ganking.some feds team up with KDF and use ams tor scramble for a suprise attack on their own faction

lol, i pmed an OPFOR ship in an arena once to AMS/scramble me so I could kill an annoying team chat complainer once. (you know the type, shooting their load into a zombie they have exactly zero chance of killing while some guy is 10k away at 10 percent and should be dead 2 minutes ago, while this guy is ******** to holy high fricken heaven that no one is "assisting" his dumb TRIBBLE)

worked too, my demfawhax popped them immediately.

That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.

I call it, the Stoutes paradox.

Ker'rat is my Fleet Defiant's anti-gank patrol zone. I fly around cloaked until I find a heavily damaged teammate limping away from a cube or something, and then I watch over them until some oh-so-courageous Klink decloaks for some easy pickings. Can't take much of a beating, those BOPs. :D

I do one of 2 things.

    1) What Scurry said about vaping the vapor, nothing more funny then seeing them go up in smoke.
    2) I let them run off with 10-30% hull left, in other words I buff up just enough to make them wet themselves.

Nothing more funny then seeing someone run off and never leave the fed ball after you give them a good fright.

Also what's wrong with flying a Brel? I do it all the time!

It is through repetition that we learn our weakness.
A master with a stone is better than a novice with a sword.

Has damage got out of control?

assuming you mean me... 97 ish native (2pc aegis (10% bonus def via engine and 2pc bonus), 3x dyson console - doffed a2d replaces the lost rcs/neut values) , a hell of a lot more when ap0 and impulse cell/evasive/duet kick in

...of course the best thing is killing the crystalline entity with a hyperspeed ramming speed^^

Only issue is I'm going so fast, I have difficulty doing enough damage before I'm behind them - although it does look awesome,, seeing a graviton torp spread 3 and a few extra torps hit seconds after you got out of range, with a chroniton mine chaser to discourage pursuers

    **

Edit - I recently moved my faster corvette (the torpboat) build to the plesh brek so the above value is from memory - I'm still up in the air about the utility of flanking, but I'm seriously missing my corvettes ability to stick two fingers up at all the firepower pve mobs bring to bear (outrunning borg plasma balls was too much fun, never tried seeing if I can evade borg lances though yet...)

Well I know the Corvette can get well in excess of plus 230% bonus defense when well equiped. So why not slap some elite fleet Disruptors on it, an AMS console, a GPG console and a Thetavent console?
That way you can basically hold them, destroy their shields, cover them in Theta and then blind them so they are completly defenseless for a friend to dispatch.

I regularly take my sci B'rel torp boat into Ker'rat. It's always funny. I rarely get to kill someone on my own though, unless I get a lucky crit on my cluster torps.
So I mostly troll people. When I see some dude taking on a group of probes/spheres, I drop a grav well and one or two torp spreads with the dyson torp. There are always some great lulz to be had when I manage to trap someone this way and watch them melt along with the Borg. :P

Or following Fedroms, waiting till they cloak and then hitting their bare hulls with torp spread and high yield. I never get tired of being called a hacker or being told that my B'rel is full of cheese when I do that. :D

When I see fellow BoP pilots facing a Fedball I like to jump into their center and drop AMS or scrambles on those faw spamming feddies. It's a great tool for trolling, bonus points if these guys kill each other thanks to scramble or AMS.

Can't count the times anymore where I was the sole reason for Feddies to form up a Fedball.

I've considered training up Scramble 3 on my B'rel and then droping it on an unsuspecting Fedball after they were trying to gun down a fellow Klingun. Just to watch the world burn.. so to speak ;)

I also enjoy using my dino Torp Boat sci ship on fed side. I just love using TBR + Doff + GW + Doff + EWP + Spread 3. Even funnier when I'm in a C&H or Arena and some how actually catch 3 team members with that combo and almost single handedly kill them. ^_^

But definitely to me so far the best trololol boat has been the B'rel. I don't even try to get kills with it.. I just use HY 2 + 1x Photon Torp. I have a Photon Mine and Tractor Mine in the back. I mean I have 2 DHC's on my front, but I never use them. I'm too lazy to swap in something to actually get kills with. Not to mention it's more fun just being a sneaky SNBer. Nothing says fun like watching some one come in to Vape a target and then their buffs get nuked off..

The appearance of the way the person flys afterwords is just priceless.. Like they were all ready to go..and then just went flat. :D I'd sware this is what then plays in my head. "I was in the Pool!"

I prefer torp boats (all my power goes to aux and engine) to be honest for my trollvette - as to the console suggestions, I considered them, but I found them too poor for purpose - too long a cooldown and that at high speeds, all three suffer from poor performance (theta, for example deploys as 'puffs' of cloud in a line, meaning you can literally miss catching the opponent in it - also the game tends not to render ewp/theta in such situations - or so I've been told)

nice suggestions however - I noticed I had 60-odd weapon power to use so I tossed a nannite disruptor dual cannon on the fore in lieu of the breen cluster - the extra 'pew' added to the fore firing cycle has helped to a degree

edit: Did some more testing - I've hit 660.3 impulse with 760- somethng % defence

base impulse (cycled epte1 and eps3 +a2d cycled) is 97.4% defence, 170 impulse

I've tested it, and I can get from qo'nos (with a rolling start to full throttle before buffs) almost to the debris ring in under eight seconds (the impulse cell duration)

(no idea what that distance is in km, sadly)

its throughly impractical to buff to such speed (although hilarious on a mirror voquv :p ), but great fun all the same
