Fleet Actions Are Broken ... We Miss Starbase 24

    I dont play any of the fleet actions any more, simple as that.

    Remove the queue system for people that want to drop in, surely this is possible....

    Yeah ... My fleet action time is nil now with my time in game having dropped to a lot less since Starbase-24 went into a queue.

    I don't play at all any more. What I want to play is the Fleet Actions, especially SB-24, and the queue prevents me from doing this. All the characters I play, now no longer play, are Commander / Captain level. In these level bands you have ZERO chance of getting into SB-24 barring setting up a pre-arranged event. And good luck with that, most people setting up or taking part in pre-arranged events are playing at VA level and have no interest in doing events at lower ranks. There are exceptions of course, but again, good luck.

    Just a quick note ... If you are missing the space combat of Starbase 24, you might want to try Foundry Mission "Battle of Hell's Keep" as it was created in answer to having SB-24 stuffed behind a queue.

    Whenever I or my fleetmates need an SB-24 fix, its what we load up and run.

    I have been unable to get into SB 24 since they added the queues. Which sucks, that's where I went to test ship builds.

    Thanks. I'll keep this in mind when I decide to start playing again. I'm still in "waiting for things to improve" mode.

    Agree with everybody here.

    I think the devs have completely missed the point with the 5-player-per-fleet-action deal here. The whole point with fleet action is to have an epic scenario, with tons of enemies and tons of friendlies duking it out. That's the fundamental element of fleet action, it is bigger than normal 5-person missions, and the devs took it right out!

    Devs, the fleet actions are dead, nobody plays them anymore.

    Here's a short list:
    1) some fleet actions are plain undoable with 5 people
    2) doable fleet actions takes a couple of hours now
    3) there is no enjoyment in playing fleet actions, with 5 friendlies vs. 200 enemies
    4) there is no proportional reward for such long and boring grind
    5) you can't join your friends in the middle of the fleet action for fun or to help out
    6) when people leave in the middle of the fleet action at hour 1.5, that kills mission for the rest of the small group

    The PvE portal should help with the convenience of getting into a fleet action map from any corner of the galaxy; it should not be a mechanism that launches isolated instances with under-sized teams; and definitely have nothing to do with queues!

    Please fix this (it needs fixing because there is something critically wrong) before putting effort into your hyped up DS9 fleet action. Thanks!

    Wait what?!? They killed Starbase 24?

    I was thinking about coming back to the game... :(

    No. Necros, are not allowed, and I believe you were told this on a different thread. If I am mistaken, I apolagise. SB24 is fine and the queues run very quickly at top level.

    So Starbase 24 is as it has always been then? You can jump in and have a lot of fun?
    I remember Starbase 24 as the biggest reason to play this game tbh... :P

    Necrophilia, loving the dead. This thread was dead. It was started in 2011, for crying out loud!

    If it's more than a month or two old, DON'T REPLY. You bring an old old OLD thread back to the top of the list and people think it's new. Often it doesn't even apply anymore. This post was talking about SEASON 4's RELEASE!!! Here we are waiting on Season 9 now!
