Tetryon weapon proc bugged

When using "Refracting Tetryon Beam Array MK XII [Acc]x2" there is no basic proc with dmg for all sides of the enemy.

You get:
Your Tetryon Array gives 474 (571) to Voth Bastion Cruiser's Shields.

This message is showed in my dmg log in the breach and in all other fights.

After a testing season (PvP) we found out that:
Your Tetryon Array gives x (y) to [Insert Player]'s Shields. Showed also up in combat log but, mate used a dmg parser / combat log parser (you know what I mean) and said: I did 0 extra dmg in form of any procs. I did not heal anything. So Tetryon proc is not working in any form.

Also we tested it with his Recluse fighters (tetryon dmg). I opened my overview of Shield HP ("u", -> Ship on left side, defense part, scroll to shields) and got 0 dmg at any time to other sides of my shields.


Reproduction steps:

1. I logged into my Federation character, Recovery
2. I am in Sol System Space
3. I moved the Refracting Tetryon Beam Array MK XII [Acc]x2 from my personal inventory to all 8 weapon slot on my Voth Bastion Flight Deck Cruiser
4. I queued for and entered Starbase 24
5. Started a run in "The Breach (Elite)" and used there my weapons.

1. Log in
2. let invite you by a testing mate for a pvp area fight
3. test your weapons there


(Also it is not nice, when I heal my target with my weapons ^^)

    OMG. Cryptic what's so hard about adding an Tetryon proc animation? Ground weapons have it. I'm not even sure that space tetryon weapons proc at all to be honest.

    -950 to all shields my TRIBBLE$. I also use "Refracting Tetryon Beam Array MK XII [Acc]x2". I've only seen it reflect off something 1 time. As for shield damage, I've never noticed it... ever...
    To be honest I think the "Damage to all shields" line was put there just to make the player feel good, and that's it. :(
    The dress is gold and white. Over 70% people says so. When viewed from a certain screen angle it appears blue and black. The dress displayed on amazon is a blue and black dress, but it's not the same dress in the picture. If you're seeing blue & black you're slightly colored blind. A normal upright screen = white and gold.

    I don't care about a animation (visual effect), I care about a proc that works as it description said. (German / English)

    If i see, that a opponent losing on all side shield HP in form of the description, cause of the triggered proc I am satisfied enough.

    Example for both procs of the "Refracting Tetryon Beam Array MK XII [Acc]x2" was triggered in a fight against two targets:

    Your Tetryon Array deals 111 (1215) Tetryon Damage(Critical) to Voth Bastion Cruiser.

    Your Tetryon Array deals 342 (545) to Voth Bastion Cruiser's front shields.
    Your Tetryon Array deals 342 (545) to Voth Bastion Cruiser's left shields.
    Your Tetryon Array deals 342 (545) to Voth Bastion Cruiser's back shields.
    Your Tetryon Array deals 342 (545) to Voth Bastion Cruiser's right shields.

    Your Tetryon - Beam Refraction deals 1971 (2143) Tetryon Damage to Sphere.

    Your Tetryon - Beam Refraction DEALS 157 (171) to Sphere's front Shields.
    Your Tetryon - Beam Refraction DEALS 157 (171) to Sphere's left Shields.
    Your Tetryon - Beam Refraction DEALS 157 (171) to Sphere's back Shields.
    Your Tetryon - Beam Refraction DEALS 157 (171) to Sphere's right Shields.

    Oh and don't add this not only to the dmg log, i will notice it, when it still not work ;D

    Yes it is stronger against Shields but only if the target have shields. ^^ After you found the structure / hull the proc is useless, also useless if it is only one target.

    In my opinion one of the best support weapons for tanks or player they want to keep aggro. :) (like me ^^)

    Tested proc of Refracting:

    449 tetryon
    221 Fire at Will I
    506 Fire at Will II
    1 refracting shot

    403 Norm shots
    425 Fire at Will I
    187 Fire at Will II
    1 refracting shot

    560 Norm shots
    545 Fire at Will I
    412 Fire at Will II
    1 refracting shot

    Math:
    449 + 221 + 506 = 1176
    1176 * 0,025 = 29,4 (29)

    403 + 425 + 187 = 1015
    1015 * 0,025 = 25,375 (25)

    560 + 545 + 412 = 1517
    1517 * 0,025 = 37,925 (37)

    The proc should have to trigger around 91 times in this testing. Was triggered 3 times in these runs.

    We hypothesize that refracting weapons missing a description:
    The next target to trigger the refracting proc have to be within 3 km.

    That should be upgraded badly in form of description AND range. 10 km from attacked target. It is not a proc that deals that much dmg, that each hit to another target will be a overkill hit.. it is a teardrop on a hot stone in compare regeneration of the 2. target to the dmg.

    The range (if hypothesize is right) is far to short to be worth to be bought.
    Additional you should keep in mind, that all other weapons with a 2. proc are not be cuted by range or by %tual chance to get triggered.
    Secondary: This weapon is cuted in the moment you only have one target to fight. (Like a "boss" or structures)

    Summary:
    Missing advantage over other weapons against many targets. (In view of a tank, do a bit dmg against all other nearby targets. Not much and healed fast by hull reg + shield red by any of the npc targets. But it helps to generate aggro to us as tanks to keep the rest of the team away from getting aggro.

    disadvantage of the weapon is the losing of the 2. proc when fighting against single targets or structures aka boss'

    Would be nice to get a upgrade/fix to this weapons that have a real good chances for promotion to be the weapon choice of tanks. :)

With "no one" u mean cryptic, i presume..today is becoming so unpleasant to play space fights, because now, you dont even know if this weapon is going to work as intended or not, everytime we fight now, we need to be checking the behaviour of all the weapons. LOL. Ow,the day d finally is here guys!.

    Yeah I was talking about Cryptic. Leave it up to them to TRIBBLE up on the "blue lasers." They should really TEST things before putting it out there. I mean really test, and test hard.

    Seems like they're always in a rush and don't have time for anything. Always "let's add something new, we'll make sure it works later this year ( or next year.)" The hell?

    Don't worry Cryptic I understand. Why fix something old when you can add new stuff? $$$$$$$$$$$. You guys need a month called "fix it month". Focus on making stuff work sometime out of year. I guess time is critical, just do what you can. :)

    I love Tetryon by the way. Imagine if it was working :eek:

    I find it rather amusing that you do all this "testing" and in the process completely fail to notice that it is FAW that is broken.

    Hint: try it with cannons and no FAW to verify.

    You don't need to test it with other weapons that not have FaW.

    Hint: Remove the FaW from calculation and calculate only with basic shots/hits.

    math:

    3 Runs with:
    560 + 403 + 449

    that are 1412 shots

    With a proc of 2,5% (0,025) * 1412 = 35,3

    So I should get around 35 additional refraction proc dmg.

    As you see, still with 0 FaW calculation the difference is to big.

    With 3 hits that would be a chance of 0,21246459 % for a refracting hit.

    Indeed....The entire refracting line is complete garbage right now..

    Want to see whats effective? Check pvp.

    You will see that everyone is on Plasma...NO ONE is on R.Tets.


    Why would anyone bother with stripping shields when you can sink x5 plasma burns, or use Emb proc consoles to boost hybrid disrupters??


    The whole nukara space set sucks, as well as R.tets...that is all. Sorry.

    This isn't a thread to discuss who in PvP have the longest ePeen.

    The facts are, that the weapons don't stand to the rules of their own description.

    Additional a Player also can add plasma proc to not-plasma weapons with a sci console.
