Annoying As TRIBBLE Winter Wonderland

All the NPC's that stand around with the audio tracks of them "kissing Q's butt" is annoying. I know you guys are wanting to keep everything fresh, but that is frustratingly annoying. I have to completely mute my sound so I DONT have to hear "Q IS THE GREATEST MAN I WILL EVER KNOW!!!" or "Q IS A GENIUS..... And so hansom." or "EPOHH'S! GET YOUR FREINDLY EPOHH'S!" "DON'T YOU WANT AN EPOHH FRIEND?!?" That gets annoying when you hear all that TRIBBLE loop every couple of seconds when your standing there doing the pie eating contest or accessing the bank or starting the Winter Epohh projects. Can you guys PLEASE either change the loop time for the tracks or delete them completely???????? If I need to, I can get everyone within my fleet to get on here and agree with me, and a couple of them are lifetime members and monthly paid members. And they ALL agree that they HATE that TRIBBLE:mad::mad::mad::mad:

    I mute my audio right when I am about to walk into that covered area inside the Winter Wonderland, but I shouldnt have to. When the event was up last year, it was cool. There was no audio around those characters.

    Apparently somebody didn't read the OP. He does turn off his audio.

    And that is the problem. I turn my speakers off it is so annoying. It is an answer, but not a good one. I rather like a game that has some kind of ambient sound. But the constant loop of those particular voice overs is just too much to often.

    I have seen quite a few of these threads. Please get the hint. You over did it this time. Please fix this.

    EXACTLY!!! That loop is frustrating. I dont have a problem with the background noise of the people cheering and all like that. And the Audio track that comes out when you do the race for the 8x10 pictures of Q is cool. As well as the audio tracks when the snowball fights start. I think that is cool as well. But those NPC's inside that covered area are annoying. They are more annoying then hearing the Mr. Bill impersonator there inside the Gingerbread Colony Invasion

    You can turn the voices to 0 in the audio menu. Everything else will be working, but NPC voice will be muted.


    And I thought "Kurland here !" was annoying^^

    I love that. Best line in the winter event. Someone even had a cool signature with that line. :)
    The dress is gold and white. Over 70% people says so. When viewed from a certain screen angle it appears blue and black. The dress displayed on amazon is a blue and black dress, but it's not the same dress in the picture. If you're seeing blue & black you're slightly colored blind. A normal upright screen = white and gold.

    Even with voices off, you still hear the very annoying Q butt kissing and other voices. The sliders for audio when using a digital output don't work in most cases, like the voice over audio slider. This has been an issue in STO for quite some time and has been around longer than F2P has from what others have told me.

    Remember, it is Q's wonderland.. and Q is annoyed Picard, Janeway, Sisko and everyone around him in every episode.

    I think it would be just like Q to make his creations annoy you :)

    There's another option. Stop wasting time with this pointless event. Besides, why the hell would Q of all people give us mere mortals a gift that didn't benefit him in some large way?

    Because Q thinks we are his favourite toys. He gets amused by the simple and silly things we will willingly do for virtually worthless rewards. That and he loves to be adored and doing this encourages people to not think of him as the destroyer of galaxies.

    Apparently you haven't watched much Star Trek with Q.

    These guys were all created by Q. Don't you think the personality that Q gives them would be one of kissing his butt?

    You're lucky he doesn't make your character do that, too.

    On day 1, I enacted

    Options -> Audio -> Voice Volume -> 0

    since then, not one voice has been heard from my speakers. Sucks to be you? -shrug-

    Tried that TRIBBLE already. It didnt work for me. Those voice overs NEED to be deleted. They are annoying and useless. Plus I am only in the winter wonderland to get the 8x10 pics of Q since I cant afford to buy lock box keys since someone within the game whined and cried to the people here within the forums and sent in complaints about the Tour of the Universe and they wont stop messing with the rewards from the Foundry missions, so I have lost my abilities to gather EC like I use to

    people might take you more seriously if TRIBBLE was used a little less..

    anyway as mentioned before Q is a jerk who likes people kissing his TRIBBLE. unlike the founder does not want anybody sparing him the sycophancy. don't hang out for hours at the pavilion get done what you need to do and move on if it annoys you.

    frankly it doesn't bother me I think its funny and fits right in with how Q would do things. possibly motivation from the devs to get people out actually doing content. instead of camping social areas complaining about minor aspects of the game.

    The sycophancy seems pretty appropriate, but that Epohh Lady has the most annoying voice ever, as bad as 2.8 Leetas. Couldn't they have gotten Michael Dorn to do it?

    last year the winter event was a nice place to chill out, decide what mission i wanna do next maybe kill some snowmen and stuff

    this year its like i go in, do what i wanted to do and get our asap cause all these voice stuff really are annoying as hell and i dont want to continuosly adjust my voice audio setting to cope with it

    If they lower their volume a bit, and adjust the delay between messages, it'd probably be fine.

    PWE/Cryptic are missing a golden zen unlockable opportunity there.

    Frankly though, I find her the least annoying of the three. I'd pay good zen to skewer the chef. At least the Breen aren't talking, or electronically gargling, or whatever that is that they do.
