My new flagship! Damn, it looks almost as if I designed this one myself! Love the angle and how the pylons on the standard version are swept. Bulldog you say? I like bulldogs!
It has just about all the elements I love about Klingon ships and it really screams 'Klingon' to me. It also screams 'buy me' since the first time I saw a picture of her. Will buy as soon as it comes to shop.
Once again, you design a great Klingon ship Cryptic. You really are hitting the nail on the head when you make Klingon ships, you should do so more often.
I mantain my claim that designing Klingon ships is one of Cryptic's strongest points.
I just have one complaint - I keep throwing money at the screen since last Friday, but nothing happens. :P
Oh and BranFlakes, can you comment on the size of this beasty? Please tell me it's at least the size of a Vor'cha!
The Mogh has the exact same stats as the Avenger (the same goes for the fleet versions), with the exception of the Mogh having a built in cloak (not a battlecloak sorry everyone ).
As for looks: Its like the design team took certain aspects from all the previous KDF battlecruisers and meshed them into this. Though, it's not the worst that they could have done.
The hull is obviously from the Bortas. (2nd anniversary version)
The "wings" are reminiscent of the Vor'cha (C-store vesion of the Mogh) and Negh'Var (fleet version of the Mogh).
The forked nose is similar to the Vor'cha.
And the deflector is strikingly similar to the K'Tanco's deflector.
Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!
I don't get all the hate on the 2409 Klingon motif either. More futuristic doesn't necessarily always mean smoother, and the utilitarian, rugged, armored look of the Bortasqu'/Peghqu'/Mogh really fit with the kind of design mantra you'd expect Klingons to adhere to - function over form.
I think I will wait to see what the stats are before I invest in this ship only due to the fact KDF ships compaired to Fed ships seem to get the short straw ..

You know, I find it funny myself :P
But then again, as the devs have stated, most of the ST fandom is geared toward the Federation by default of them being the stars of every show. And by default, most Fed ships on screen were smooth and form-minded
People seem to forgot the Klingons do not share that mindset XD Or maybe it's just an instinctive bias and they don't realize it
Was named Trek17.
Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.
I hope the bridge and the interior of this, most advanced KDF ship, wont look like something that has been made in a scrapyard and then when it was finished, every light source except red stoped working and then .. I'll stop here.
Actually the soviets made it to the moon 1st. They put and unmanned space probe on the moon on Sep 14, 1959. Also, technically the put a man on the moon 1st too, by 13 days. Americans wear the 1st to do it and not kill the astronaut (soviets math was wrong and they literally buried there cosmonauts into the moon surface killing all on-board)
As for the KDF's new ship, might have to shell out $20 and get it i like the way it looks
In previous pictures - as well as seen in today's blog - the exaggerated hull plating is gray. In today's blog, we also see it shaded red. So we pick the color. Am I understanding correctly, that what this represents is the Dynamic Defense Deployment System having been activated? If I'm correct, can we also see a picture of the Mogh without the deployment?
Actually, the red shade is the fleet Mogh, not a 3DS activation.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
Since the blog with the stats and all is not yet, here are some guesses on what it can do:
1) Simply put, it is the KDF version of the avenger, proably a bit more leaned towards tactical than the Avenger
2) Console layout:
Not entirely sure, but my guess is on 4tac, 4eng and asci like its Fed counterpart
Fleet version would get an additional console slot, most likely the science one, but the tactical one is also (slightly) possible
3) Bridge officers:
No idea, but as it is a battlecruiser and not a dreadnought, it's most likely going to have the commander slot as an engineer
4) Cloak?
It will come with an ordinary cloak (no battlecloak)
This far no battlecruisers have a battlecloak.
5) Tank?
Pretty much the same as the avenger, probably
6) Cruiser commands?
It is a battlecruiser, so it's gonna come with weapon, shield and engine commands
7) Universal console?
Dynamic Defense Deployment System... Sounds a lot like the point defense system from the fed carrier escort.
In a nutshell, this ship is finally going to make being a klingon a lot more interesting...
Oh, and while cryptic is at it, they might add a 5/2 bird of prey as well. Seriously, the klingons are really lacking ships on that end
Iam sorry, iam not all the impressed with the design, lately the designs of many of the ships which include the Romulan are something that is not very desirable looking by any means and not very streamlined to those species.

Second, I don't get why some of you simply don't like all the little details Complexity and additional details aren't really that ugly
