    They are annoying beyond words.

just space them out so you hear them once every 5 minutes or something.

Yeah, those voices are really annoying since they are speaking every second..........

Not to mention they are loud.

I agree. One of the things I enjoyed about Q's Winter Wonderland last year was that it could be relaxing. Between races and snowball fights I could just stand on the Gazebo, look at the well-done scenery, listen to the Christmas music, and (metaphorically) chill. These grating voices ruin that.

I agree fully, my favorite part about the winter event last year was the relaxing atmosphere. Those voiceovers kill the feel of the area.

I'd like to request that the npc dialogue be disabled for the Q platform unless we directly interact with those NPC's. The NPC's are saying something every 15 seconds, and it's starting to get on my nerves. For the love of Q, turn those annoying voices off!!!

Additionally, during the winter invasion vent, the snowman baron is constantly repeating something like "have a taste of winter." He repeats this every 6-7 seconds, and it's extremely annoying. Either add more voiceovers to him to mix things up, disable the voice all together, or increase the intervals between when he repeats it. That is all.

EDIT: BTW, Love the new winter wonderland! New green uniforms are very cool. New snow weapons are awesome! Great job on everything so far Cryptic and Merry Winter Wonderland to all!

Oh god, if the "ep-OH!" lady and the chef could tone their volume down about 50 decibels that'd be great.

Yes, exactly. Epoh lady sounds like she's almost yelling it in your ear. And it's not like you can just go to one corner of the platform to escape the noisy NPC's because they repeat the same stuff over and over no matter where you are on it. Q_Q.

I must admit, re: Epohh Lady, I was rather surprised that a dour-looking, Romulan scientist would sound like a valley girl (or Risan dance instructor).

The problem I have noticed is they speak randomly on their own, than when someone interacts with them they repeat the same TRIBBLE.

I'm thinking maybe it's a glitch then and that you aren't supposed to hear the NPC's talk unless you speak directly to them. Is this what you're getting at?

Exactly, every time I interact with them they speak, than when someone else interacts with them I hear them say the same thing. It becomes annoying quickly when multiple people interacts with them constantly.

I tend to wear headphones when I play STo so as not to disturb other people in the house that live with me. And yes, I could turn down the volume, but then I wouldn't hear anything else going on. Btw, people don't scream in your ear at fairs unless you're on a ride. Have you been to one?

What does being at a fair have anything to do with a game that has absolutely no other npc's acting in this manner keeping it from being annoying?

I wouldn't pay attention to him. He's probably trolling.

Back on subject, it would be nice if the devs would confirm this issue as a known bug and get to fixing it.

Usually i watch star trek on my second monitor when playing sto so having all these voices there makes me stay there as little as possible instead of just enjoying the event.

    So off go the voices.

Yup lose the voices. They are not needed. Or at lease space them out. If heard "do YOUUUUUUU have an recipes?" or "Q is the most WONDERFUL person I know" one more time I was ready to vaporize that chef!

(EDIT: hmmmm smoked side of Breen.....would that constitute a recipe? :) )

'Options>audio>voice volume' is your friend but its a shame to have to do that because no one thought to see if the VO playback times would be excessively annoying!
