Did anyone play with 4 DHCs (plus some turrets) augmented by APO3+CRF2 versus APO1+CRF3? Which one provides higher spike damage to single target and which one provides higher overall damage?
However substantial the difference between those two combos might be, I say the bigger question is what other skills the combination allows you to fit.
Testing is ongoing, but I think maybe the "sweet" spot for Tac BO builds on my AP-DHC + Omega Torp Fleet Defiant is turning out to be:
2 x Tactical Team 1.
1 x Attack Pattern Omega 3.
1 x Attack Pattern Omega 1.
1 x Scatter Volley 1.
1 x Spread 1.
1 x Rapid Fire 2.
1 x High Yield 2.
Viewed as a whole, what I have there is an APO,TT,torp/cannon buff set for single targets, and one for crowds. Also relevant to this is the Eng BO skills Emergency Power to Weapons 1 and Directed Energy Modulation 1. I have three blue tech doffs to cut that BO cooldown somewhat, but I can't afford purples yet. Also, the Omega Torpedo stays on auto-fire. :cool:
And yes, I know. This commits the cardinal sin of bothering to do anything at all with torpedoes. :rolleyes: There is only so much tiresome redundancy I'm willing to accept in pursuit of the almighty DPS, so just skip it, OK? OK.
I don't have the data at hand, but have tested this.
APO1 + CRF3 was more effective against single targets.
Having said that
APB1 + CSV3 did more damage. (although doesn't look as cool).

Whole idea of APO3+CRF2 vs APO1+CRF3 is about decision how to allocate Lt-Cmr and Cmr ability slots. APO1 is sadly Lt-Cmr ability, the same level as CRF2.
While you propose ABP1 which is actually Lt slot. In your case you could use APB2 + CSV3 to even greater benefit.
