I propose that we have 1 day out of every year where everyone - EVERY FED - flies a Tier 2 Cruiser, regardless of level.
Boycott CBS if they think they can keep us from flying Connies at T5. They're already in the game, and keeping us from having a fleet variant isn't going to do anything for them.
... Why? What if they've deleted theirs? Are they not allowed to play? For a lot of people, trying to do anything at end-game in a tier 2 cruiser would be impossible.
Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!
I should point out I am unsure how you intend to boycott CBS while still participating in a CBS licensed game.
not sure what your intent is, considering the push for a T5 Connie has more to do with it being comparable to T5 cruisers over using a T2 cruiser at end game.
Wouldn't it be easier for Cryptic to make a series of missions/STFs, even a story line requiring only T1 and T2 Mirandas, Constitutions, and so on? We could fly all those great old ships in worthwhile missions. It can include end game content and rewards.
Unless this is just about getting a T5 Constitution, or something.

I have killed Borg cubes in a T2 cruiser and I've been in an instance of The Breach where one team member was flying a T2 cruiser. We still completed it without problems even after one ragequit.

Simply that CBS isnt just a tv studio, it has its fingers in many sinister soups, and as the license holder besides, the only way to boycott them would be to boycott anything they hold the license on.

I fly mine every day doing elite STF's
Jellico....Engineer ground.....Da'val Romulan space Sci
Saphire.. Science ground......Ko'el Romulan space Tac
Leva........Tactical ground.....Koj Romulan space Eng
JJ-Verse will never be Canon or considered Lore...It will always be JJ-Verse

I'm well aware that there are some people that are able to handle tier 5 content in connies and mirandas, etc. But the majority of people are not. How is this fair to them?

Buy a new one they aren't that expensive
What's more important is the principle that we can fly it at any level, anywhere, anytime.
How stupid is it to prevent us from flying a Fleet T2 Cruiser because of how it looks? The point is to show CBS they can't keep a T5 Connie out of our hands when we're VA's, because will fly em anyway, even if they are weaker.

I don't understand that at all. Its a T2 ship already in 2409. Other T2 ships have retrofits. The only logical explanation is that CBS finds it popular and iconic and doesn't want everyone flying a T5 version of it endgame.
If we do this, we have a chance of getting one, because they might realize they can't keep us from flying one anyway
In the meantime, however, I would be up to meeting with folks in game in my connie to do T2 PVP matches and or PVE. Even the Elite PVE would be fun as a group fighting in original era ships. pm me in game if interested. my handle is @bugspatteredjack
Cheers!

The problem is that for whatever reason CBS said no to the Tier 5 Constitution. Obviously that includes the Constitution Refit which is part of the Tier 2 Cruiser. Remove the Constitution Refit costume from the Fleet Cruiser Retrofit and problem solved.
Personally, I don't want Fleet versions of Tier 2 ships, but if there is the Fleet Escort Retrofit and Fleet Science Vessel Retrofit, then there should be the Fleet Cruiser Retrofit.

You seem to have me confused. Are you attempting to start a community driven day where everyone (or at least as many people as you can get) flies a tier 2 cruiser? Or are you attempting to make Cryptic have a day where anyone not flying a tier 2 cruiser can't play? From your first post it seemed to be the latter, you know, because you would never be able to convince more than even 10% of the forum people to do this, let alone the player-base.

7 characters and not 1 T2 cruiser. 1 T2 sci and 2 T2 escorts holding extra parts though. So I would be forced to purchase one or just not play? Ummm let me think for a moment... Go [REDACTED] yourself. I don't even want a T5 connie.

I agree, why Boycott CBS when the deciding factor of use for Connies etc isn't really in their hands? It's Cryptic and it's Developers who make the decisions. .
Still the thing thing that is bothering me the most is that Cryptic creates a TOS bundle pack, Ships, Uniforms, Interiors etc, and you only get a limit amount of time to really fully appericate them Both as a player levels quickly.
Then we get a Motion Picture Uniform and not the interior of the Constitution Class Refit (As seen in Star Trek TMP, TWOK). So inspired by these films are they?.
And for that note I wouldn't also mind seeing an appropriate Ambassador Class Bridge set either. (For now though the Origin Bridge will do).
But on the other hand I can see why the Dev's wouldn't want to make the Connie a T5 Ship. . How's about an alternative, make it a T4 ship instead At least then you could have something survivable in an STF or other event?

Incorrect. CBS has stated categorically that they will not allow a Constitution (or Constitution look-a-like) as an end-game ship choice.
Don't want a tier 5 Constitution. Sorry she's had her day it's over.
Now a tier 5 Vesper/Excalibur/Exeter, there's no reason those are not tier 5 fleet refits.

Okay, it seems I may have confused people into thinking I suggest Cryptic ban people who wont fly a T2 Fed Cruiser from STO for the day. Absolutely not what I mean't. This is a community thing, and the aim is a protest, like "Occupy Wall-Street" and stuff.

Why are you not rejoicing?
Well,
Truth be told, that's what I meant. I recently read somewhere that ALL T2 Cruisers look TOO SIMILAR to the Constitution, and that's CBS's "reason."
Fleet Exeter is a perfect idea.
