I've been doing the Dyson Battlezone alot, and it is by far the best Ground Combat experience in STO ever, the only thing that I don't like is the running around from point to point, and I'm sure other Captains feel that same... so my request is that *if we get enough Community Support* to unlock the Risan Floaters For Example my: [Risa Floater - Superior (Red)]... Post in here if you would like to see the Risan Floaters Unlocked for the Dyson Battlezone!!!
Most likely won't happen, as the Floaters would destroy the Maze properties of the Battlezone, not to mention the region separation between the 3 zones...
You'd also be sitting duck for those Iconian flying defense things, as you can't shoot back when flying the Floater...

the controls aren't any different than moving normally (with the exception of altitude controls), you'd just have the lock on and two firing modes you'd normally have with ground combat
KDF for Life! Romulan at Heart Fed cause they made me ~ :P
Everyone I talk to thinks it'd be fun to have a jet pack zone. As do I, if it cant be added to the battlezone, then maybe they could create another similar battlezone that allows jetpacks, and simultaneous firing of weapons.

That would be about as likely as them adding My Little Pony content to the game.
I vote for this instead
We could ride the ponies to the next point and have them fight alongside with us.
The ponies could come with, ?The power of friendship? trait which would give 25% chance all enemy NPC around the pony to be befriended by the pony and fight alongside it.
i would very much support Battlegrounds like this in STO.
i think they would fit both thematically and now systemically.
the only real major tweak needed being the automatic isolation of separate instances "zone" channels and to my mind that could be seemingly be accomplished with some very simplistic scripting of the existing chat systems functionality.
imo if the Voth ground zone was fought between player factions it would basically be akin to "Athari Basin" in WoW.
the "capture and hold" map points mechanic is basically the same if a little more varied and the appearance of the T-Rex Boss is much akin to the appearance of the Generals in WoWs Alterac Valley Battleground...hell, they even have the Captains in those wandering NPC sub bosses...
STO would imo greatly suit those kinds of med/large scale MMO PVP Battlegrounds.
i know self styled "hardcore PvPers" don't like those types of MMO "Battlegrounds" because they are not...conducive...to on "one on one" combat and basically every cross faction encounter that occurs within them cannot be "balanced" from a certain pov.
HOWEVER
that does not mean other people don't like and play them.
WOWs battlegrounds, (and others like them) have always been well subscribed even after the birth of "balanced PVP" like "Arena" in the same game.
even LOTRO, a game rather famously with "no PVP" and only one faction has still has "PVP Battlegrounds" in the form of "Creeps vs. Freeps".
a large "semi-pve" PVP battleground maps similar to "old school Alterac Valley" could, imo, be a very good fit for STO.
and in the content of the ongoing war and conducting large scale fighting over large scale territorial holdings it fits somewhat perfectly (at least in terms of "the ground war").
so ye go mad with the "capture points" and other such mechanics, throw (transient) battleground mechs, vehicles and other such captured fun into the mix, maybe battle "marks" and/or rep and faction or two.
i'll play that.
it's not like i haven't before...
ps. "the city" is a pretty inherently annoying sub map because you cannot easily traverse from one point to another within it. it could do with some "tweaking" and i would hope you should not feel restrained in making such adjustments just because "it's done" already.

I support this! I miss my jet pack!
If you get enough community support for this, the devs may consider!!! So It's worth a try!!!!
Which might have called unlikely back when, before "dinosaurs with frickin' laser beams on their heads."
True. We might even get a Mickey Mouse BOFF
You never know what might happen!!!!

Not everyone has Frost boots.
Maybe the Armor should have the Ben 10 XLR legs?
Or something to boost movement speed. Nothing sucks more than being across zone when the dino shows up.
I am Il Shadow and i approve these Shennanigans!

There are run-speed power boosts in the Battlezone. It's the purple icons that look like a person running.
More MLP ingame please! I support this!

Get some this Winter event! Best event purchase I ever farmed!
No kidding!
They don't usually add more content to adventure zones, only bug fixes.
