TRIBBLE Maintenance and Release Notes - November 26, 2013

We will be bringing down the Tribble server for maintenance to apply a new update: ST.35.20131117a.6

General:
  • Voth cloak:
    • Visual FX has been updated.
    • New sounds effects for when Voth de-cloak.
  • Improvements have been made to Reman chests.
  • Resolved an issue which was causing clipping of robes and pants on females.
  • Improvements have been made to eyes.
  • Modified character proportions closer to the way they were prior to Season 8.
  • Fixed the viewscreen on the bridge of the Voth ships to remove the grey textures.
  • Voth Turrets: Beams come out of correct spots on the turrets.

Content:
  • Spire Fleet Holding:
    • Spire fleet holding now includes a ship vendor unlock at T1.
    • The Fleet Chimera Heavy Destroyer now comes equipped with the Dynamic Tactical System console.
    • The Fleet Peghqu' Heavy Destroyer now comes equipped with the Dynamic Tactical System console.
    • The Fleet Daeinos Warbird Destroyer now comes equipped with the Dynamic Tactical System console.
    • Captains will need to be level 50 to leave the Fleet Spire and enter the Allied Space Adventure Zone.
  • Solanae Dyson Sphere Adventure Zone:
    • The U.S.S. Tesla in the Contested Zone (Mission: Salvage) has had its location and waypoint adjusted slightly to move it away from some ambient spawns and help solo players avoid encounters scoped for larger groups of players.
    • The I.K.S. Korcha in the Contested Zone (Mission: Salvage) has had its location and waypoint adjusted slightly to move it away from some ambient spawns and help solo players avoid encounters scoped for larger groups of players.
    • "Secure Voth Points" - Mission tells you to turn it in to Commander Kaol instead of Commander Arnold.
    • When reinforcements spawn in at control towers in the Contested Zone only one notification gets sent instead of five.
    • Moved the respawn point in the Wasteland Neighborhood a bit further away from the control tower.
  • Dyson Sphere Battlezone:
    • Battlezone daily mission - Generator point 4 in the park will now count towards completion of the mission.
    • "Summon Reinforcements" mission - Reduced the amount needed from a count of 20 to a count of 5. This means that ensigns go from being worth 5% to being worth 20%. Lieutenants and above will automatically complete the mission
  • Taking a shuttle from the Klingon player starbase to the embassy now puts the character in the shuttle bay of the embassy.
  • The proper cooldowns are now in place for The Breach and Spire Assault for both normal and elite versions.

Systems:
  • Trait - Sure Footed:
    • Resolved an issue where many characters were gaining the benefits of Sure Footed while crouching or aiming without slotting Sure Footed as a trait.
  • Fixed a description error on Elite Obelisk Swarmers (Hangar Pets) that indicated they have Attack Pattern Beta. They do not possess this ability.
  • Resolved an issue that was causing Tetryon Beam Arrays to deal less damage than intended while enhanced with Fire-at-Will.
    • This applies to players and NPCs.
  • Resolved an issue that was allowing Fire-at-Will to apply certain enhancements twice per activation or firing cycle.
  • Resolved an issue that was causing certain powers to never apply Critical Severity to successful Critical hits such as when using Fire at Will.
  • Voth Aceton Field Generator Console
    • Fixed a tooltip error on Voth Aceton Mode that was causing it to state that its maximum damage was far lower than it actually is.
    • The Subsystem power drain aspect of Voth Aceton Mode now benefits slightly more from Flow Capacitors skill.
  • Tholian Mines (deployed by EV-Suit Tholians on the Ground) now draw fire from NPCs.
  • The FX light attached to the activation of the Romulan Combat Environmental Suit (Vet bonus) now emits from the correct location on the helmet.
  • The Expertise cost of upgrading the Fleet Embassy, Fleet Dilithium Mine and Fleet Spire from T2 to T3 has been reduced to 10% of the previous value. (25,000,000 to 2,500,000).
  • The team-wide Dodge and Avoidance bonuses provided by Team Ambush Field no longer stack between multiple instances of the Set Bonus. Only the highest Mk set will provide the bonus to a player's team.
  • The team-wide Dodge and Avoidance bonuses provided by the Bridge Officer Trait "Veteran" no longer stack. Only a single "Veteran" bonus will provide to the Team.
  • The Stealth portion of Distortion Field (Omega Force 2pc Set Bonus) is now cancelled by outgoing actions which put you into Red Alert.
    • The Damage buff will persist for the full 10 seconds, even if the Stealth is cancelled.
  • "Assign Raiding Party" may now only be activated while in Sector Space.
    • The effects did not carry from Ground maps to Space maps, so being able to use it elsewhere only allowed a player to waste their cooldown.
  • A few versions of Phased Tetryon Dual Cannons and Dual Heavy Cannons that were previously unusable on Warbirds now work correctly.
  • Voth Palisade Science Vessel and Voth Nastion Deck Cruiser can now choose to have no prefix when renaming.

UI:
  • The background images for windows such as banks, mail, exchange, and some mission themed windows have been improved.
  • Increased the number of fleet members displayed on the roster page from 10 to 50.
  • Exchange:
    • The exchange will now show the price per unit of a stack of items rounded up to the nearest integer.
    • Removed the sort by expire time options, because the information is unlisted.
    • Relabeled all the sort options.
      • The labels now specify if the sort is ascending or descending.
      • Removed the "then Name" from the sorting option labels.
  • Re-added the Undo and Redo buttons to the tailor and character creator.
  • The frame around Duty Officer portraits in the Exchange will reflect the allegiance of the Duty Officer.

    I understand the fixing the BFAW double procing, I'm all for that, but there is no mention of the crit chance fix. Has crit chance been fixed for BFAW?

    Does this mean the 18897741 error has been resolved finally? O_O *does not see it listed as a known issue or a fix*

    You never know. They might want to rush some of these fixes out tomorrow. Better to risk annoyance and frustration doing a quick patch tomorrow and have a happy player base over the long weekend than an unhappy player base for nine days.

    So far I can confirm DX11 performance is still significantly worse then DX9/DX9ex on high end pc.

    Do you really expect Craptic Customer Service Studios to please their customers? Remember these are the same people that took a month to fix a bug that was reported and two weeks of that was in the holodeck.

    It's actually included in this Tribble build. Coldsnapped added this above: Resolved an issue that was causing certain powers to never apply Critical Severity to successful Critical hits such as when using Fire at Will.

    Nifty stuff there with FAW...

    Fixing the hate for Tetryon.
    Fixing the Pikachu Proc on FAW (chance to proc when FAW selects a target - I pick you!).
    Fixing the missing CRIT! aspect.

    Yeah, folks will still complain one way or the other - it's what folks do, heh - but at least we're closer to what it's supposed to be doing to argue about what it's doing. :D

    So why do the Fleet Veteran Ships also have the Transformer console when it already comes equipped with the regular Vet variant?

    Fleet ships never had a special console but could use the one from the regular ship.

    Havent tested it yet but this sounds very promising, love that we finaly get a fix to the cloaknading, cloakgunning and a limit the dodge stacking, very awesome :)

    Oh and i love that the undo/redo button comes back on the tailor thats just perfect.. thanks a ton for that patch! :)

    Unfortunately it was too heavy handed. Cryptic changed what was basically an enhanced battle cloak and converted it into a standard battle cloak. All we needed was an enhanced battle cloak where firing a sniper shot or using a grenade broke the stealth. We didn't need a change were so much as sneezing broke red alert. Split beam rifles, high density beam rifles, healing abilities, activating target optics, activating team buff, and using a debuff will all break the stealth bonus. Why even have a stealth buff if you can't do anything while stealthed. The stealth buff isn't even perfect stealth beyond 30 meters, further making the two piece bonus useless now.

    I too asked Cryptic to fix the problem with distortion field hiding grenade and sniper rifle warning animations. Nobody wanted normal actions to break the bonus, there was no reason to do so. It weakens the ability to the point where it is no longer on par with the other STF set two piece bonuses.

    You do indeed need to be a 1000 Day Veteran or Lifetime Subscriber to get the Fleet Vet ship. As to why the DTS is available on the Fleet version could be because they're not your regular Fleet ships, they're exclusive to 1000 Day Vets/LTS.

    Yes but when you anyhow get the regular Vet version with the DTS for Zero money, then why should it be included again n the Fleet version where a Veteran has to buy the ship?

    Like buying all Defiant variants with 3x the Quad Cannon. I can't even use the DTS on another ship.

    I take it then that the Crit Chance/Severity still stack with multiple copies?

    And boo The Breach cooldown, I was enjoying being able to run it a bunch.

    Has anyone noticed how all skills have been respecced on tribble? Is that going to happen on holodeck too or is this only for tribble?

    Well, those are pretty much nice fixes, long overdue.

    Now, assuming this doesn't break much more stuff, you've still got to fix all the recent bugs.


    Oh, and btw. the 'Assign Diplomatic Immunity' and 'Assign Raiding Party' actually worked also in System space (say Sol system), not only in Sector space (like Sirius sector block). The buffs simply didn't appear in System space, only when you warped to Sector space.

    With the previous patch, you disabled 'Assign Diplomatic Immunity' needlessly in System space along with Ground (where all it did was truly just the fx). I guess you're doing the same here, which again is unnecessary.
    TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
    Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

    Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

    My reputation powers, traits, and my skill tree were wiped clean. I had Dyson rep skills up to tier 5, and my skill tree said it was invalid.

    Convenience? Why wouldn't the Fleet Vet ships come with the console?

    It's possible get normal fleet ships without their C-Store counterpart. In some cases it costs more, sure. But in those cases, the special console is tied to the C-Store version as an additional perk for people who (theoretically) spend $$$.

    Obviously anyone getting a Fleet Chimera or Fleet Deinos *must* have access to the non-fleet version, there's no way they can't. So why inconvenience them by making them claim a second ship they won't use?

    As an avid user of the Omega set, I'm very dismayed and disappointed at this change to the two piece bonus, my favorite thing about the set was stealth in combat, this utterly ruins it for me, and I'm not a ground pvper for the record, this just kills the whole thing as being the set for a ninja. Each set has it's point, the other borg rep sets were heals, the voth for damage resist, and this one for stealth, all abilities designed for combat, till this one took a bullet. Big mistake.

    this is only a tribble event they sometimes do this to get a clean slate for testing new things this has never and will never happen on holodeck

    Now there is something I wouldn't mind, I have three characters that I need to respec.
