Suggestion: Purchaseable Ship Materials

So, many of us like the various materials that exist in STO. I was thinking that you guys could make unique ship materials and sell them on the C-Store. I would certainly pay for something like that.

    As long as we can see what it looks like on our ships before buying it like we can see various C-Store costumes on our character at the Tailor before buying them.

    I know a lot of people would be behind this to get the "Terran Empire" skin on their ships like NX or Defiant-class.

    That may not be what you mean, though, I don't know...

    Or even existing materials. How about type 6 and fleet skin for ships that do not have them. I really want to be able to buy fleet skin for my scimitar and odyssey star ships. If not a purchasable z-store option, how about using a fleet module to purchase fleet skin from a fleet star base vendor.

    Another thing I've been wanting for a long time now is the ability to use materials that come with a shield without having to use the shield. I think certain shields look really nice, like the aegis shield and the nukara shield. Really wish they would make the ship editor like the character editor where it unlocks in the ship editor as you obtain the items.

    Maybe add a fleet ship material unlock to the fleet ship tailor so as to give it a purpose. And maybe add all of the sets with visual as deflector and material options in tailors that can be unlocked through the rep and fleet systems.

    One of the artists made and screenshotted that skin as a joke, it was this gold D'kora.

    yeah that was Jamjamz when he first started. I could see that in the C-Store for 5 bucks. All Factions.

    Two new ship skins.
    Battle damaged, make the damaged skin you already get as purchasable. Show that your ship has been in the field some time.

    Worn, This is mostly for the older ships so you can show yourself as flying a really old ship if you chose.
