Exchange sends duplicate mail

For each item expired, the Exchange sends two messages with the same timestamp. This bug was introduced with Legacy of Romulus, though the behavior has changed somewhat.

Before Legacy of Romulus
The Exchange sent only one message, which contained the expired item. Deleting the message immediately removed it from the mail window. This is the correct behavior.

After Legacy of Romulus, but before Season 8
The Exchange sent two messages. The second message contained the item, but the first did not. The first message could not be deleted directly. However, if you deleted the second message, closed the mail window, and reopened the mail window, then the first message would be deleted as well.

After Season 8
The Exchange sends two messages, both of which contain the item. If you delete one message, close the mail window, and reopen the mail window, then the other message will be deleted as well.

    Oh most definitely. It's real cute. The same way character bios don't come up since pre-S7 cute.

    Did Cryptic actually fix this bug? I didn't see duplicate messages for my expired items this morning. I also didn't see a patch, but it's the possible that the fix was server-side only.

    It seems that I spoke too soon. I got the bug again today.

    I've been getting this issue as well. It's annoying and confusing. At least it doesn't ruin game play, but I do wish the devs would get around to fixing this.

    Well at least for me, it almost bankrupted my char. From the first time this bug appeared, as you say back in LoR release, I tried to make myself to do re-posting all my stuff before it expired so I wouldn't be prone to this bug because i didn't want my mail clogged with undeleteable stuff (also back when mail delete wasn't working)

    So since I was not experiencing this double mail bug, the first time it happened to me when i forgot to re-post some very expensive items (doffs and ships), I was unaware of the issue that when you delete one of them (the one without the item), then the one with it will be deleted as well upon mail refresh, so when i deleted the duplicate ones and later wanted to retrieve the others on a mailbox I couldn't find any and all my expensive items were lost.

    I sent tickets to Cryptic about this, but being them as wonderful and great at customer service as they are, they reached to their "f...ks to give" box and found none so I was screwed accordingly and never got my items back despite it was a bug of their system and nothing related to me for being careless (like deleting a mail item by mistake).

    Of course to date (almost 6 months later) my tickets are still unanswered and I'm still 200M poorer.
