Cannot turn off half resolution (closed, necro)

What it says in the title. After I patched for season 8, I can no longer deactivate this. Also, I am no longer able to play this on anything but windowed maximized, or the screen turns into a garbled mess. Anyone else?

    I don't know about the windowed/maximized issue but the half resolution issue is known. Read the patch notes.

    I am also experiencing this issue on a clean install of the game client. For the benefit of any support staff that catch this thread, I have submitted a ticket ingame, ID# 2,096,120.

    As for the windowed maximized issue, I haven't experienced anything like this. I have noticed a new "Full Screen" option or something like that in the launcher settings though, have you tried toggling it?

    While we work on a more permanent solution, you can manually disable it by running this command in your chat bar: /renderscale 1

    I can vouch for this, as I've tried it personally :) Though, it seems to have the side-effect of turning all settings to their highest, so watch out for that.

    Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.

    But while you're at it Bran, can you alert the team to this bug?

    Just minutes ago, I did the Battlezone daily by capturing two control points in the Outskirts. Now, I've held this daily in my mission list for at least 24 hours, and I've already gotten a Commendation today, so everything was in order... until after I got the rewards.

    I got the Dil and Dyson Marks just fine, but the mission cooldown was fresh, meaning it was counting down from 20 hours even as I watched it. Holding this Daily for 24+ hours shouldn't have that happen.

    I'm not sure if the Allied and Contested Zone Dailies have the same issue (their cooldowns seemed fine)

    I tried the command but fatal error came up.
