I'd like to know how to set my laser pointer to stun.

:rolleyes:Take off the back panel where the power socket is then holding onto a piece of bare wire in each hand insert the wire into the exposed power board.

If you are very lucky indeed you will get stunned but you are more likely to get thrown across the room and be dead before you hit the ground!!! :o

And that really will be your last post!!!

As for the last post of this thread all I have to say is NOODLES

Richard Dean Anderson as O'Neill was a good choice, I thought. I don't remember who played Jackson, but again, good choice, I thought (ditto for the actor playing Tuuk (sp?), the big muscular guy with the oval symbol on his forehead). But having Jackson become an immortal and then return to mortality? Did the actor want to leave the series and then changed his mind, or was he fired and then rehired? Saw the first episode or two of "SG:Atlantis", which seemed okay (didn't know that Jewel Staite of "Firefly" was also in "SG:Atlantis" as a wraith, until she mentioned it in one of her convention appearances). I think there were other spin-offs from SG1, but can't remember them right now. Maybe I should've stuck with the SGverse longer than I did.

How'd we end up with a serious discussion in Last Post Wins? :D
I don't remember who played Jackson, but again, good choice, I thought (ditto for the actor playing Tuuk (sp?), the big muscular guy with the oval symbol on his forehead).
Michael Shanks and Christopher Judge, respectively. And it's Teal'c.
But having Jackson become an immortal and then return to mortality? Did the actor want to leave the series and then changed his mind, or was he fired and then rehired?
I dunno, I've heard conflicting reports. One was that Shanks wanted a break, another was that he didn't like what the writers were doing with his character, a third was that he wanted to try and find work someplace else but couldn't find any. Your guess is as good as mine.
Saw the first episode or two of "SG:Atlantis", which seemed okay (didn't know that Jewel Staite of "Firefly" was also in "SG:Atlantis" as a wraith, until she mentioned it in one of her convention appearances).
She later joined the main cast as Dr. Jennifer Keller. Stargate became somewhat of a haven for actors from cancelled or otherwise ended sci-fi shows (Marina Sirtis played a one-shot Russian stargate scientist, John de Lancie played a recurring human villain, Ben Browder and Claudia Black were main cast members in seasons 9 and 10 of SG-1, the guy who played Dr. Phlox was a one-shot character, Robert Picardo was a recurring bureaucrat and later the leader of the Atlantis Expedition, and the list goes on and on).
I think there were other spin-offs from SG1, but can't remember them right now. Maybe I should've stuck with the SGverse longer than I did.
There was a one-season, non-canon cartoon, Stargate Infinity, set a few dozen years in the future from the live-action shows, and there was a 1.5 season spinoff from Atlantis called Stargate Universe that was basically VOY, only different. Stargate was basically murdered by Syfy losing its ****ing mind.

Starswordc: Thank you for all the info (you're definitely far more into SG1 and its spin-offs than I ever was). If a serious discussion allows one to win the trophy, then why not? Sarcasm also works, but if it becomes more acidic than alkaline, it may eat right through this thread (which might not be acid-proof). "And stay away from that brown acid. It's baaad acid." (from "Woodstock")

I think my fave episode of SG1 was called 'Window of Opportunity' which was a bit like the film Groundhog Day where the O'Neill relives the same day over and over.

The scene that has always stayed with me is him and Teal'c (I think) playing golf by hitting balls through an active gate. I think the biggest shock was the way Janet Fraiser got killed off, no warning just dead :(

By the way - my win again...
