Hello guys: TL;DR near the bottom for those who don't want to read my [somewhat long] story.
I have had huge ups and downs being in the 3 fleets that I have been in. The first one was back in season 3, when I just started and believed (and still wish) that one [in a Miranda] could not destroy a Ne'vagh (cannot spell that ship class - sorry). I left for a while, wanting to be away from a fleet. I realised how much, though, being out of a fleet was making my game play "worse". So I re-joined another one later. I spent a month or so, being helpful , and a good member, and I was promoted to an officer. What a golden time! I was [very] young and naive , and soon I forgot
what the badge meant. After a meeting deciding my future, they said it would probably best that I try and learn "more" about what it means to be in such a position (as well as being learning more about STO - I was only Commander!). That I should understand , it is not about power, and position. It is about what you are doing. They demoted me to below officer, but not the lowest rank. Annoyed I asked to resign and leave. They wished me the best of luck, and I left. Alone , in the cold of space. It was nearing Christmas, 36 or so days , I believe, when my friend had received my early STO DVD, and he started playing STO with me, and we still do. We created a [casual] fleet together. Deep down, I wanted to prove that I could manage it. I wanted to prove that I was wise enough, and mature enough. I realised much later on, that you learn wisdom through your ageing experience.
Season 6 swung around soon enough, and there we were. A new , pristine Star base. I was a good leader, and my officers agreed. We were highly active, and everyone donated. We were doing well, going at a smooth pace (I recall being halfway through Tier 2 or so) until and after season 7. People were starting to burn out, not everyone was committed to playing STO like me and a handful of people. We are Tier 3 now. For those interested, help fun (Co-leader) Special War and Exploration Division.
Now I am going to be honest with you guys. Being a leader is difficult. It is great, and rewarding, but it is not easy. It was approaching Tier 3, when I got in a new leader, of whom, I asked if he could help us turn around. I asked for help from now co-leader. Since then, to help the problem of in-activity and slow growth, he set up some rules, and to be fair, it has improved, but at a cost. These rules (like you must be on-line regularly, only invite long term players, etc) have turned it into a more hard-core [as opposed to casual] fleet. Progress , I suppose is better, but to be honest, I am rather starting to get quite sad. Rarely on, for legitimate reasons, friends of mine in the fleet were kicked, and I feel deep down I have lost my fleet. This is nothing against my co-leader, I add. And this is the important thing. I started to realise, when I was doing less and less fleet things, how disconnected become with the fleet. I was so high in the fleet, organizing this, tending to this, I have hardly spent time with the thing that matters most to me: the fleetlings. ::o
I enjoyed being an officer. I did not get a lot of privileges compared to a leader, but now I understand what they meant ; originally. It is not about rank, or privilege, or power. It is about
theperson,
the job , and what makes you happy. I realised, that being an officer was the one of the happiest things I ever did.
So my request:
TL;DR
:
I want to join a new fleet. I am going to be a tad fussy about it, but it is for my maximum enjoyment.
List of requirements: Please PM me [on the forums] for more details , communications, or for general enquires etc.
- Must be at least Tier 3, but preferably not Tier 5.
- I would like to join a active, and actively progressive fleet.
- I know all ranks are different, so what I call an Officer is someone who is not "in charge" [like a leader] of people, but does have responsibility; may have a specific department of which, it either heads or resides in; and does the job. And is able to help in-experienced members.
- - And I would like people to know, I do donate, and I do care about a fleet. I am also a Trekkie, and happy to teach people stuff, should they need it. English (London time) One of my "toons" is VA. I do STFs and PvEs.
- I am also happy , relatively, to join any time zone fleet.
Hopefully I'll come back from my break; this break is fun; I play intellectual games.
I hope STO get's better ...

We offer good promotion prospects and have modest requirements to allow you to purchase from fleet stores.
The fleet organize nightly events and will help you with missions, PvE and STF's. We also can help you gather resources. We have some good in game knowledge and skills and can also assist with skills builds and weapon loadouts.
We do have use of a private Teampseak Server hosted by one of our fleet members.
We are U.K. based but accept all timezones with members from U.S. Norway, Canada and Australia. The fleet currently has just over 70 members. (correct at time of posting)
We do have various ranks like other fleets but believe all are equal. If you help us we will help you.... No references required. All we ask is you have fun and if you need anything ask
Feel free to drop me a pm in game or leave me a reply and I will get back to. T'Moro@krilldarn or you can contact me through our newly created Forum http://temporaloperations.freeforums.org/index.php or on Facebook STO Temporal Operations.
Temporal ships are not a requirment to join the fleet......
Do you like sex and travel? Long walks on the beach? Nice sales pitch m8.
I PMed you on the forums.
Meanwhile, any other fleets out there want to pitch? Please.
I hope STO get's better ...
Do I like sex? No.
Travel. No. Unless it is where I want to go, such as restaurant, or my computer for STO.
Beach? Yes! (Dams and sandcastles!) Long walk on it. No.
And , thank you. My English teacher says I am one at the best of English in the class. That is because I am; to blow my own horn.
I hope STO get's better ...
Cool fleet, but it is Tier 5, so I would need to think about it.
I am looking for a fleet that still has some going to do. But nonetheless , I thank you for your help.
I hope STO get's better ...
We have 3 fed fleets one is only tier 3. All new members join our Academy fleet tier 3
Yeah leading a fleet is a tough job and I can attest to that. But it's very rewarding. I'd like to offer you an invitation to The Mak'Tar. We are heading to Tier 4 currently on our main Starbase and the Embassy & Mine are around Tier 2.
We're a group of friends that game together on a daily basis and I'll admit, not always on Star Trek Online. Weekends are usually our busiest nights, especially Fridays and Saturdays. We are a tight knit group and don't aim to be the biggest as we find you can lose that personal touch of comradeship sometimes and end up segregating people.
While we do not make Mumble mandatory to use for our voice server, it is required that you at least download and get it setup. We do recommend using it though, as we find all our members who join us tend to get a greater enjoyment out of hanging out with friends online and sometimes if we aren't in game, we're more than likely on Mumble 9 times out of 10. On most occasions, we have people hop on just to chat and members generally don't feel so left out when they are chilling & having a laugh on Mumble.
Website registration is required as we do communicate everything through the site, including what people use from the Fleet Store.
Our goal is to build a group of gamers who can relax in a stress free environment and make some friends, regardless of the game we play. We're very casual, but do have set rules in place to keep things orderly :P
Still, check us out and you may find we're what your looking for! We have players across the world including the UK.

Happy gaming!
Thanks for the offers already coming through.
I hope STO get's better ...

I humbly suggest you try to take a look at http://www.taskforceatlantis.com/forum.php
We are in STO as TFA and HoF and are in the process of transitioning to a multi-game Community. We offer a Forum and Teamspeak. We have may players from the US and Europe ranging in age from 18 to in the 50s (maybe even higher). We try to be accepting of all folks and want to create a fun environment for many gamers from many walks of life.
If you and your friends would like to help us accomplish that, or just come on board as Members of our Community and check us out - please feel free to post and let us know. You can find me there (PM me as Fiddy) and let me know! I hope you will take a look and possibly a test drive - we could use good folks to help us grow and exist in more games! I look forward to hearing from you!
TFA is an early Tier 4 Starbase, Tier 3 Embassy, and almost Tier 2 Dilithium Mine. As stated above we do have a KDF side as well, though it is much younger and not nearly as far along. We accept alts and Romulan players into bot TFA and HoF.
TGC is also attempting to expand with Eve Online and SWTOR, and hoping to add other games in the near future (including but not limited to TSW, Rifts, and others as suggested by our Community Members). Not all our Fleets/Guilds/Cabals/Clans will have the names TFA or HoF or even TGC - we want the "freedom" to have many names befitting the genres they occur in.
I thank you for your time,
"Fiddy"
As Fiddy said, we are building this group into a gaming community as opposed to a one game group, and we are in the very early stages of this expansion, so we would enjoy new folks coming in to help us out and be a part of the community as a whole and it's potential and future growth.
In addition to the games fiddy mentioned, we offer an experienced RPG group. If you like to write, it's available to all our community members.
Come check us out, we look forward to meeting you and any friends you want to bring along.

We use our raidcall chat server for voice communication, and we are all mature players, the contacts listed below have played since beta and are between 32 and 50 yrs. old. (Although everyone is welcome regardless of age/location).
You would be welcome in our fleet, we have 169 members at the moment.
Join and have a look, if you don't like it you can always leave as there are no prerequisites to being a member. It is also easy to progress through our ranks and take a leading role within the fleet should you wish as you can contribute and be as involved as you like. So if you?re playing style is to only log on to do a quick mission/play solo or want to run missions with others, you will find both styles of play within our fleet.

Hi Jumpingjs,
As my fellow Task Force Atlantis colleague has stated we are laid back group of people, and try to ensure that we have a fair mixture of rules that does not impede our members to have fun.
Everyone is treated as equals regardless of their role in the Fleet, and most importantly we are expanding as part of our way of growing our overall membership as a community.
Do feel free to contact mcghiey13 or myself in game (Edward Valor@karmlor is my handle name) if you wish to talk etc, alternatively do feel free to pop over to our site at www.taskforceatlantis.com.
Regards,
Edward (Commanding Officer of TFA).
