Something new has happened, my screen looks like is setup for 3D. Everything is red with blue and green shadows of the main items. If the loading screen when it says loading and the progress bar moves along I see the entire screen turn to this muddied red following the progression of the progress bar. This is very odd. The only think that has changed on my system is I upgraded to windows 8.1 from windows 8.0. I have changed all video settings to low, tried in window mode full mode, nothing seems to be fixing it. If anyone has any ides please post.
I figured it out. For some reason Enable stereoscopic 3D was checked on my graphics card. Why the upgrade to windows 8.1 would change this I have no idea. If anyone else sees this post here. Now you know the fix :)
A new bug...hahaha I found a new bug. After upgrading to Windows 8.1 Pro w/media center, I loaded the launcher and patched the game. After the patch completed, I 'engaged' as normal. Immediately noticed on the load screen, a strange, weird tinge loading on my screen from left to right, following precisely the load bar (meaning it moved with and as far as the load bar has progressed.)
Upon completion, the character select screen loaded and the images all appeared blurred, especially the coloring. It looks like I'm looking at a 3D image without 3D glasses on.
I have tried to update my gpu driver (which is already up to date)
I have tried to change the direct x back and forth from normal to beta having no affect
I have tried to Force Verify
I have completely uninstalled/reinstalled Arc and STO...no affect.
This is NOT my hardware or software as this is happening ONLY on STO.
I have reported it (naturally) but this bug is obviously going to prevent me from playing.
Anyone else experiencing this problem?
Currently running XPS 8300 Windows 8.1 Pro w/Media Center
Intel core i7 quad core 3.4Ghz
8GB RAM
NVidia GeForce GTX 650 ti 2GB DDR5

I have this issue, just upgraded to windows 8 and yes its 3D weird colors. How do I turn that Enable stereoscopic 3D off. I have an NVidia card and when I ran the app I do not see anything called Enable stereoscopic 3D.
UPDATE:
Ok editing my post. I went to NVidia, downloaded new drivers and did clean install, do not save prior settings and looks like that worked.

The 3D setting is found in the Nvidia Control Panel
