Does it have any visual/graphic/animation effects associated with it, and if so what do they look like?

    I don't think it has a graphic effect, it just simply boosts power.

    Might have been too absorbed by battle but I've never seen it.

    No, there's no animation like Energy Siphon has. You just get a buff notification on your status bar (whatever you want to call it).
