    Hi Captains,

As noted in the patch notes linked above, a memorial has been placed on the grounds of Starfleet Academy to honor the memory of our recently departed friend and colleague Mark "h2orat" Valentine, as well as for all the captains we've lost on our journey through Star Trek Online. Please stop by and visit it when you can :)

    We miss you Mark!

    Very Nice...

Now, could we please get a Transporter pad at SFA, so we don't beam in on top of the lovely memorial?

Now that's a nice meaty patch. Very happy to see the GW/TR fix for sure. I'm also really digging the new prefix changes. That's a nice surprise.

The following has been added to the patch notes under the "General" section:
    • Crystalline Entity
      • Resolved an issue where captains were only receiving a 100 Mark of choice reward box instead of a 250 Mark of choice box from completing the project.
    Cheers,

You spelled correctly incorrectly as incorrectly in those patch notes.

What is a "mega torpedo"? Did you intend to type "Omega torpedo"?

The mega torpedo in question is the destabilized plasma torpedo console used by t'varo ships.

Quite the bummer. I considered a perk, so I'm not going to raise he'll about refunds and such but I (like all t'varo pilots) am disappointed that dev time went to fixing this

Cool, love how you can change the ship's name prefix. Now I can put OSS on my Orion carrier. From the Summer give away. And any other "alien" ship I come across.

Woot, thank you so much for changing the duration of Emergency power to engines for enemies. Honesty I would have been fine with it just effecting Borg so they stop getting stuck in the Gates but at least now I dont have to go to full impulse on my cruisers just to stay in combat.

So I notice there is a fix to stop the whole loading into a failed CSE. Does that also take care of being on the initial failing team and being unable to leave?

Branflakes, is there any chance of the Daeinos Warbird Destroyer and the Ar'kif/Ar'kala Tactical Warbirds of ever getting the I.R.W. prefix? I much prefer the I.R.W. prefix to the R.R.W./U.S.S./I.K.S. prefixes.

I have to say, allowing more racial specific prefixes for the ships is a nice touch, especially for those that pay attention to such details and want to keep things in character. :)

That's why I'd love to have I.R.W. for all Romulan ships since I pretty much RP both my Romulan characters as agents of the Tal Shiar.

I don't believe so since those were designed by the Romulan Republic, and were never part of the Tal Shiar's fleet.

    • Subterfuge
      • The Stealth bonus granted no longer stacks.
      • Only the highest bonus will apply.
      • The Defense bonus still stacks.

Infiltrator still stack with Infiltrator? Infiltrator still stack with Subterfuge? Both Captain and BOFF Infiltrator?
    • Duty Officers:
      • Fast Reload Projectile Officers no longer reduce the recharge time of the Destabilized Plasma Torpedo.

Is there anything we can do about Cryptic's hate of torpedoes in the game? Cake? Pie? Cookies?
    • Captains can now choose to remove the "U.S.S.", "I.K.S" or "R.R.W." prefix from all lockbox ships.
      • Additionally, Klingon captains may now choose "O.S.S." for Orion ships (Orion Syndicate Ship), "G.H.S." for Gorn ships (Gorn Hegemony Ship) or "N.F.V." for Nausicaan ships (Nausicaan Free Vessel).
      • Captains can also choose to remove the prefix from Orion and Nausicaan ships.
    • Re-enabled game chat channel filters for Emotes and Minigame.

    Damn nifty...thanks.

edit: Anyways, back to the topic. The changes look good. And it's good to see a memorial both to H20Rat and all other captains who have passed away. A good move.

what about non-lockbox ships that aren't fed or KDF designed? Namely the Chel Grett?

I hope so. I want to name mine "Breen Patrol" without a prefix and float around aimlessly in Deferi Space.

And why'd they have to go and nerf Elachi Cannon Powerslide? I loved firing that thing at nothing in particular while powersliding my ship onto target. Sure, I usually missed, but every so often I'd nail someone with that and they'd be like WTFHAX as they got blown away instantly without warning.

All the non-Federation ships should be able to use the HMS prefix. It's canonical!

I'd like to see ships like the D'kora and Tuffli get more merchant vessel prefixes... M.V. (Merchant Vessel) or perhaps M.S.V. for Merchant Space Vessel. Not exactly canon but not unrealistic.
