Just a question or 2 on the Elochi(spelling?) LockBoxes....

Well, so far, I'm loving my time here in STO...; barely a week now(if that), but I've got about 2 dozen of these boxes now, sitting in my bank, and it feels like I'll never be able to open one, heh....

I certainly don't have the EC for a key, and nowhere NEAR enough Dil to convert to Zen, so I was wondering if I should just hold onto them and hope for a tumble in the conversion rates, or try to sell them on the Exchange. :confused:

I know the odds on getting a ship from one aren't good, but I'd sure love to open one or 2, just for the anticipation.... :)

    So your probably not 50 yet, when you do reach level cap, ec rains from the sky. Well enough to buy 1-2 keys a day. As well as converting dil to zen for about 1 every two days.

    Does the elach escort or any other elachi lockbox item interest you? If not I'd just trash them. They aren't worth much.

    Any new ship would be fun, especially as I'm still a Free member...still, my curiosity wants to know what will pop out...Schrodinger's Cat, indeed.... :D

    You can get lucky but more than likely you'll get some funky DoFF pop up of the box. I gave up a long time ago when it came to Lock Boxes and I think a lot of people also have. Once I got lucky and got the helmsman trait.. after that I went out and did the lotto lol since that was a 0.4% drop at the time xD Still didn't win the lotto; must have used all my luck on that trait :P

    DoFFs would also be quite welcome, as I'm sending them out on assignments as often as I can! :D

    I just get my DoFF's from ESD, New Romulus and Qo'nos and trade up the whites for greens and greens to blue etc to get better quality ones. Best part is the DoFF's are free and only costs Dil which you can get tons of via STFs lol

    You can sell your boxes on the exchange. I gave up trying, its faster to just pull them through my replicator.

    As for keys: once you hit 50, you can make a large amount of ec a day. A decent Foundry farming mission gives something like 500.000-700.000 ec.
    Dilithium; you will most likely hit the 8.000 ore refining cap at least 2 days a week.

    For the content: if you really want something special: go to the exchange and buy it there.

    I'm around 38-39 now...using a lot of the Ship equipment I get now to outfit some of my Ships I'm not presently flying, just in case I need them...besides, it lets me try new setups! :D

    Haven't even tried the Foundry yet, as the main story missions are keeping me quite entertained....

    I'll keep a box or 2 around, just in case I get lucky; guess someone else can get the rest on the exchange!

    How does one find a good foundry farm mission?
