Waiting for this half a year now. Were it actually anywhere mentioned on an official basis? Or is it just rumours?
I remember seeing it mentioned in an Ask Cryptic, Dev Blog or interview or something... No idea where, I'm pretty sure it was more of a "we might..." or "we'd like..." than a "we will...".
Also, I'd have gone for "It's only been half a year"...
That's a justification that always amused me - I remember a carrier thread recently with wording to the effect of "Why haven't romulans got a full carrier yet? they've been out for months!" Totally missing the fact it took 2 and a half years for Feds to get them...

I guess you're right.
I just hoped it would come out sooner. The time ships came out pretty fast for example.

This is just me speculating, but I'm wondering if there's actually more than one set in production, similar to the Adapted MACO/KHG sets.
For instance there might be a basic Romulan space and ground set which are different from either the MACO or KHG sets.
But then if there's a Romulan set -- that perhaps Cryptic is also working on Klingon and Federation versions of the Romulan set at the same time (like the Adapted versions). Thus, they would not only be working on a ground and space Romulan set, but a ground and space version of it for MACO and KHG. In addition, the armor set variants for ground would go for the Romulan ground set as well, so there would be a few Romulan ground costumes to work on, not just one.
In addition, there'd be a KHG and MACO variant armor and weapon to reflect their version of the Romulan set, so that's more time needed to work on costumes.
Again, this is speculation but it's based on the idea that all 3 factions would have perfect symmetry in regards to different armors and weapons, and 'Adapted' versions of them. And it's possible they'd all be released at the same time necessitating longer work than just the Temporal ships the Romulans have.
