Teams Split Into Different Instances

If my teammate accepts a mission before i do and i'm team leader. and or if he already has the mission. such as a story mission. I'm put into one instance my friend in another. We tried to drop the mission both of us and then i acquire the mission and share it and reenter the mission and we are still put in different instance of the same mission and cannot transfer to the other. This happens on every story mission.
But if i accept the mission and share it and he doesn't have it or has not accepted it then we can do the mission together. This only works though if we do it this way first. If i don't accept it and share it with him not having it in his journal FIRST then the aforementioned occurs with us in two different instances.
This has been broken since Expansion of LoR. Why can't we team as before? you get in team, if they have the same mission ok if they don't share, then go to mission start and do it together!

I actually like Delta Rising.
some portions we are stuck in together others we aren't.
And what is worse is if we switch toons and try to do the mission on another toon we get the same results separated instances with each having our team split in the middle.
The most recent mission that this happened on for me is The Gates of Gre'thor in the klingon Fek'lhri Return Story line. Before LoR my friend and i were able to do it together. Now unless he doesn't have the mission and I share it with him it works. But if he accepts the mission and so do i before i share it then it lists it as two different missions. And the sad and angering thing is this: if we both drop it and try to regain it, instead of starting the mission over it splits us up even though it looks like we go in as a team. Even if we switch toons and i acquire the mission on the new toon and share it with his new toon we are dropped in the same separate instances and at the same spot we both stopped at but it IS NOT the beginning of the mission. When you dropped the mission before then you could start over now you cannot do so.
And what is worse is that on another mission Destiny in the same story chapter we were able to do the space portion together where you fight the breen ships that are attacking the emporer. but once you beam aboard the ship you get the team screen to beam on as team but once you are there on the ship it splits your team like so: them with their boffs and you with your boffs but in 2 instances. before LoR i played Destiny with the same guy and no problems whatsoever we did it togehter the space and ground
He was in Gates of Gre'thor 4 even on the other toon and he was past the gates just like the pervious toon.
I was in instance 1 on the other toon and were at the gates on the boat just like my other toon i was on.
we even dropped and restarted the whole game and nothing . . .
