Advanced Pink-Purple Nanopulse Lirpa Mk XII [DMG]x4

khayuungkhayuung Member Posts: 1,876 Arc User
Dear Q,

I've been a good boy this year. Sunk lots of time grinding dilithium. I outfitted a Fleet Nebula and Dreadnought Cruiser and fly them every day. I help noobs up their game. At the same time, I've used zen where it would benefit the game.

So, can I please please please have ol Shady Merchant bring an Ultra Rare grade Nanopulse Lirpa with 4 mods on it? I don't care if the blade is pink and the shaft is fabulous purple! Actually, that would be perfect!!

Pretty please, with sugar on top? The Xindi-Food species will have our heartfelt thanks!!

Regards,

Admiral Yuung

You broke it, by using a bad-boy word (noob)...

You're getting coal this year buddy.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

    Minor nitpick.

newb - any player that is new to the game
noob - any player that is not willing to learn how to play the game and attacks anyone that offers constructive criticism

We all start as newbs, but only some newbs become noobs.

    You're missing the biggest point.

Nanopulse Weapons are exceedingly useless, like, useless beyond useless.

All of the negatives of a melee weapon and energy weapon rolled into one useless package.

You've never tried using them have you? :P

The lack of shield pen is only meaningful if no one is shooting at the enemy. Oh and yes they do have a deflection ability. It rules. :D

I soooo wish it would go back to where the Borg couldn't adapt to them. That was fun. I loved hacking Tactical drones apart with them.

Sub-par damage that doesn't penetrate shields and you have to be at point-blank? No, why would I bother using them? They're a gimmick weapon, nothing more.

Like, I said, the deflection ability DOES work, and it's awesome. :D

Useless? The Monopulse Lirpa on a caitian? Useless? Bwahahaaa! Mmmkay.
The reason I use a Tsunkatse, is that I can handle it better. My Little cat on the other hand... man she moves, silent, covert, deadly and cloaked. *WOOOOSH* -That was the sound of the high frequency only babies, cats and dogs can hear....

The thing about nanopulse weapons is:

    1) They benefit from POWER CELLS. Which is buffed by Tactical ground skill training. And I also have Conduit, Lucky, and Soldier that nanopulse lirpas also benefit from.
    2) I also have 3 melee crth/crtd doffs.
    3) I know lirpa combos.
    4) I have the Ambush doff.
    5) I have tac buffs.

    Decloak --> RLL --> LL --> RLL --> Lunge --> RLL --> RR. Scratch one Armek. :D

I even managed to one-shot someone with just tac buffs, LPC, decloak and RLL crit.

The damage can be quite inconsistent though, which is why I really want a buffed Nanopulse Lirpa for Xmas! :D:D

Furthermore, its not insanely OP, or incredibly common, like a shotgun.

After that, all I need is a hoodie and I can traverse around the galaxy with my trusty PO-47 assassinating-- I mean tactically resolving meatbags. :3

Pink-Purple? *shakes head* Very Rare is Purple (not a color, but a blend of Red and Blue). Ultra Rare is Violet (one of the seven colors).

This was a deliberate reference to that other Star Wars mmo ;), by combining our fleet [Advanced TRIBBLE] stuff, with their B]Advanced Pink-Purple TRIBBLE Color Crystal[/Bs.

Also, I'm sure the devs would make it blade: pink and shaft: purple to look really hideous, and hilarious! :D

 "... that other Star Wars mmo ..." I'm pretty sure that you know this is ...

Never mind. I'll just let this go here. I've done my best to educate the male species on color and other necessities of life, and they can't even seem to figure out the difference between Star Wars and Star Trek, so what hope do they have of getting the difference between Purple and Violet? I will now beam back up to the Mothership with the rest of the female species. Have fun with extinction, boys. See what you've done now, khayuung?

*beams out and orders First Officer to set course for Venus* Engage.
*Mothership warps out, leaving doom behind*

Not to mention that the Borg can adapt to them.

Nanopulse owns. All there is to be said about it.

Just for your fun, try using it on Defera against, say, the Elite Tactical Assimilated Gorn. What you will get: 1 combo completely hacks through its shields, the 3rd will permanently take that drone offline.

So yeah, I'll give one of my Alien chars the cutest possible look, and hope Q will appreciate it enough!

Nanopulse's weakness is Borg adaptation so that's why I don't use it, but a mk XII very rare or ultra rare version might persuade me. Just don't make it a very rare drop and throw it on the exchange please.

Its not really a weakness, since you'll cut down any drone within a few strikes. Borg don't have time to adapt.

If only the Lirpa / Bat'leth weren't the dumbest, most useless looking weapons.

I know they're canon but well designed they're not. I'll take a Tegolar, Falchion or Tholian sword any day.

Same would happen to you. Any counter-argument you can make will fall flat on its face because beyond breeding, any scientific approach can be used by either gender. ;)

There was a point where the Borg DIDN'T actually adapt to them. It was awesome, but apparently that was a bug..... you'd get an adaptation proc but the Borg still took damage normally. I miss hacking Borg to peices with them...
