KDF Tactical Carrier...when???

Just looked at todays patch notes.
New name for the ship is now Ar'kif Tactical Carrier Warbird Retrofit.

Ok, so now the Feds and the Romulans have their little carrier escorts so to speak.
Now when is the KDF getting an equivalent ship, for which they are long overdue for?

    I personally don't think we're going to see any new KDF-specific ships anymore.

    The best chance there is is if it's one of those simple "ports" like the Vet ships - something that can be quickly modeled and have it's stats copy-pasted over from the Fed/Rom variants (along with any special consoles).

    There's a decent chance there will be some lockbox ones, though.

    Oh, and it is a beast when set up correctly - I flew it for about 6 months, it was great in PvE and PVP.

    I only came out of it to play in my B'rel (I bounce between the 2 with my Tac Capt.)

    I suspect, and I'm just looking at the comparison the OP made, that he meant something with a Cmdr Tac. Not a science vessel with a tactical slant, as much.

    If you cannot do well in the Kar'Fi, one extra tac skill is not going to make any difference what so ever.

    Plus, ours may have the top skill as science, but with the phase cloak (yes you can fly through stuff) and the Klingon Honor Guard set (mask energy field) - it then gets 2 cloaks :)

    And under phase cloak, you can still fire energy weapons.... so how does the Fed / Rom stack up now????

    I think he means an escort with a hangar like the HEC

    KDF already has access to the most incredible tactical carrier in the game, the Jem'hadar Dreadnaught Carrier.

    Or did you specifically want an escort with a hangar bay?

    I support a Klingon faction specific Escort type Carrier it would be only fair so that everyone has such a ship.

    That is a full carrier with a Sci and Tac leaning not a escort type ship with a hanger.

    Just bring in a new KDF ship. Doesn't have to be a carrier!

    True but it should be a good escort type ship.

    K'Vort 5 forward 2 aft weapon ship with 5 tac consoles would be a good choice.

    More than anything else, I would truly appreciate a true dreadnought class ship as PWE envisions them anyway. 5/3 weapon layout with a sizeable tank and a hangar would be my dream. I do not need any fancy universals. I never cared much for the long cool down consoles anyway. Just 5 tac slots and I would be happy.

    kdf side is dead for over a year ..the sooner you come to terms with it the better

    and now with romulan kdf's there is really no point for them to invest in it anymore .

    here is a short list of upcoming stuff that will probably never see the light of day on kdf side

    1.a fix for cleavage and battle skirts and cloths in general ..a year ish now .

    2.a kdf reply to escort carrier , 3xandorian , 3xvesta ,sovi etc...

    3.fleet variant of karfi , gurumba


    some of these fixes are so easy its really mind blowing no dev has taken an hour tops to actually fix them , a fleet variants are basically 1 more console and the static amount of hull their fed counterpart gets.

    most of the cloths bugs are just re"biping" the romulan models if it does require any re"biping' at all

    the only real big ..well big ish are the kdf counterparts to the fed's 3 packs

    but for me when i want a new kdf ship , today ? im mostly left with a box ship.

    The Klingon side is not dead it just has less people because of their lack of building it for so long. With LoR they added some new Klingon missions and lower tier ships and allowing people to create Klingon characters from the start. They need to do more work on Klingon side. Ignoring "If you build it, they will come" was a mistake they made for so long. Klingon side can be as popular as Romulan side if they do things to improve it.

    any ship can be modelled quickly but adding it to the game may be another matter

    KDF? What's KDF?

    Oh, right, the faction presumably nobody plays so it's not worth the time and effort to make them any new ships. It's better to make Romulan ones even more OP, because they'll sell more this way.

    No love for Klingons for so long reason why so many people didn't play it and it amazes me people don't get that. Give Klingons more love with some new ships like a 5 Forward 2 Aft 5 Tac Console K'Vort Class Bird of Prey and a Raptor or other Escort type ship with a Hanger and is similar to the Armitage then add a new Science ship with a hanger and some kind of Aux weapon and all of a sudden the Klingon side has some good competitive ships to the Fed and Romulan side.
