Roll a low level alt and stop questing after you get an escort. After that, just run fleet actions. Plowing to 1st with an escort and cookie cutter build is cake in the lower levels and you'll be walking away with two purples a match. Those MK 6 and MK 8 purples sell for a million each no joke. The MK ten purples you get at level cap sell for peanuts in comparison. Often times even purple MK twelve gear doesn't sell for as much unless it's something very specific and in high demand, like plasma damage tactical consoles. I must have made ten times as much money leveling my fed then I do playing the fed at 50.
Happy farmer by Audiodee is the better foundry farm map. better because it is the easiest and gives the same as any other. It doesnt give dilithium for completion but on a farm toon or if you do it everyday completing it actualy wastes more time, So dont actualy complete it so you have a spotlight foundry you can do for dilithium and the fun of it. How to do a farm mission to maximize EC profit is another matter. Do it on normal mode and not elite. Yes i know elite gives better drops but you get far less of them and farming is better in normal. `600k average doing it in normal mode and more if you get drops worth selling on the exchange. (*edit, 250-300k like the first reply is what you get doing farm missions on elite.)
When doing a farm mission like Happy farmer i always do the first 25, check the exchange if you think something is valuable if not run to the vendor and feed the shop. Then return to the mission and do around 20 more unless you still get drops, in which case finish the 25 and repeat the sales and return until you get no more drops. No drops leave the mission and leave it running in your list of missions for the next day. If you do it right then you should be on map 1 still, if it rolls over to map 2 then drop it when you do the 20 on that map.
For a farm alt start farming at level 1 and delete the alt at lvl 40 and start it over again. level 1-39 gets good prices on green and blue QL items because there is no competition from fleet stores for good gear. Shopfood starts off slow but the exchange makes far more for it and eventualy you will be mailing exchange items to your main or other alts because exchange and bank will be full.
Other tips... never use your replicator to recycle unless you have a full inventory and then recycle white items or commodoties only. Find the vendors that will give you 50% of the marked value.
Become a DOFF mill. Buy mini packs on the exchange crack them open and sell the white doffs on the exchange. break down greens and blue to whites unless you need them.
Alts, Alts, Alts! you can never have too many farmers! Use the three free characters and grind dilithium and convert to zen. Use the zen to buy a 2 character slot pack. Use the 5 characters to grind dilithium and convert to zen and buy another 2 character slots. Use all 7 to do daily foundry farm missions plus make more dilithium. I have 7 characters and make 10 million EC a week on them without straining myself and able to enjoy playing one of my 3 mains. Plus dilithium becomes so much easier to get.
Do the tour the universe when it pops up, even after the exploit has been fixed it still nets some EC. (*edit, good time to work on the next tip)
Do DOFF assignments on all characters, KDF marauding can make tons of EC. Gather colonists and prisoners for the exchange. right now around 25k per so they are good to sell. Do assignmenst that gets you an item even the science ones for crafting mats, crit those and you get rare mats that sell good. Ignore the turret assignments unless you want turrets, they cost 50k for 10 if it suceeds but sells for less on the exchange. Haggle for **** items are good ones to do, those always sell good in sets of 5 or individualy.
Exchange tips.. Dont bother with anything that will sell for 1k more than a vendor will give you and avoid selling anything that goes for less than 10k. Exchange slots are a premium when you farm heavily.
Do not undercut! I cannot stress this enough. Sell for 1-2 prices higher than the minimum, if the second and third lowest or all three of the lowest is the same price sell at that. You make more money over the long term and with alts selling you are not on them enough to keep refilling the exchange. Fill the exchange with alts during/after farming, let the stuff sell the rest of the time. Not undercutting the stuff will usualy sell by the next day and thats OK because you are not monitoring it all day everyday.
Buy severe undercut and repost them or buy items that are selling for less than 1/2 the value and shopfood them. I do this atleast once week, weekends usualy as the undercutters are rabid then. I only do it once a week because the amount gained varies so much, you can make 1k if theres nothing there to 20+ million if you get lucky like the MK XII purple tetryon console I found for 20k lol....(bet he was pissed too).
Think I covered most of the major ways to farm EC lol... and a wall of text.

I wouldn't worry to much. Those that would normally ruin the exchange prices are to busy trolling or complaining in zone to read the forums anyways. lol

I doubt they can read anything longer than 120 characters anyway without losing interest.

Depends on how you 'get rid of the loot' .
Just dump it , sell it to an NPC , or sell it on the exchange .
I have done a hair over 2 million EC on one toon for 1 farm mission. combination of exchange sales for 3 high ticket items and 650k shopfood. Not a single purple drop. if I remember correct it was a turret and 2 photon torps when photons were between 800 and 900k each. made near 2 million many times on 1 farm mission so its not unheard of.
And never just dump loot except lockboxes and white crafting mats or other items with 0 value. always shopfood it or exchange lol.

^^^ Exactly my point .
Some folks could have little to no space in their inventory and they start to dump mid-mission just to get something for their loot .
So always empty your inventory before taking on missions like these .

I would go with, don't do drastic undercuts. selling something for a few ec less than the other guy is simply competitive pricing.
can easily get over 500K even if you dump replicate all greens and under....anything you can sell whatever blues you get and a random purple that pops every once in a while for is bonus.

One just has to refine their play style to include Doff Missions, right?
Playstyle has nothing to do with running DOFF assignments. you spend 5 minutes to go to the mine and get the assignment started then go about the daily routine as though nothing happened. It is not the same as learning a new build or playing PvP when you prefer PvE or vice versa. DOFFing has nothing to do with playstyle lol.

Both are simple, fast and produce about 250k to 300k daily depending on drops.
Way too low, you should be getting at least 500k.
500-700k what you should be getting. On really good nights I've gotten as high at 1 mil. But 5-700k is more average.

at T1 Development you'll net about 25k on a success, near 75k on a crit
T2 it's more like 40k and 100k on a crit
I assume T3 will be even higher
