Those are actually Admiral Tnae's milkshakes, they are down there until she is ready for all the boys, for her Pon Farr.

I have an idea for what Season 11 should be; Season 11: The Big Bug Fix.
I have not been able to read my bug tickets in over a year, not even the tickets about not being able to see my tickets.
I find the drama of your signature proof of your immaturity, this means you, DR whiners.
This just makes me remember that the devs once in a blue moon would shake things up a bit by having a tac cube show up in Sol or a Borg Queen would show up on ESD for a special event. I miss these. I would be VERY down if every now and then they would do this with no warning at all.
I know it could wreak havoc on the NPCs in that particular instance, but I think it's worth it.

Last time I was outside ESD, there was 6 scimitars, a dozen odysseys and more escorts than I care to count. I doubt 1 tactical cube would cut it :P
Edit: As for Original ESD - I would love it.

I always did like it, and was a bit sad when the canon mushroom replaced it.... but got over it pretty fast.
anyway... I think we are just opening a can of worms here.... the original/canon ESD debate was the biggest pissing contest on these forums back in the day.
death threats and forum perma-bans over a space station design...lol.... ah memories...

I always wondered why they didn't implement the original ESD as some Starbase already. It's a logical thing to do. Cryptic did copy and paste jobs far less... ehm... fitting.

We can still look at it in Foundry though.
Truthfully, several of the features of the new ESD are far superior.
the Top 2:
#1: we no longer need to do a map transition to get into Quinn's office.
#2: we no longer have to do a map transition just to kleave the transporter room.
Ugh that picture brings back memories, how did we ever play such a poorly designed game back then? lol
They have already updated the interior several times, with the new shipyard etc but I suppose it could use a redress to be more in line with how it appears from the outside.
I think a new ESD or a new DS9 or whatever needs justification as a content and/or monetization tool.
I think DS9 would be an easier target to hit for a revamp because more players can use it, because more designs exist for it, etc.
What I'd dig is revamping DS9 as an urban adventure zone. Bring back some of the frontier edge to the place and that could also open up some combat without having the station get taken over, while allowing for things like a canon sickbay, realized promenade, improved Quark's that shares a zone with the Promenade, etc.
I think part of the trick is how you make games and/or combat elements make sense and how you pay for it.
Following Nukara and New Romulus, I think it makes sense as linked to a reputation. With instanced missions for parts of the station. With isolated open combat on timers and/or event triggered. Maybe weapons free melee bar brawls.
I think DS9 reputation could yield some interesting dilithium sinks like an instanced, customizable quarters on the station. Consumables like Bajoran militia support. Maybe themed kits and/or reuse of the Bajoran weapon models in game. Dabo revamp/retuning so it's less of a simple currency conversion and maybe incorporates some timing/skill.
The big prize I can see is maybe having the story of the rep build up to unlocking Cardassians for Feds or Fed-allied Roms who complete the rep, similar to the Reman unlock for Romulans. And maybe as an offshoot of that, unlocking Bajorans for KDF, as a group of Bajoran terrorists decides to aid the Klingons in outrage over the Cardassians being welcomed as allies by the Feds.
This is just a lot of thinking out loud but it works with the current kinds of approaches to content updates and I could see it being done within the DS9 20th anniversary year, which runs from a few months ago to mid-2014 or so, I think, because so much of the design work is done already.
(And the DS9 Fleet Actions could be retooled to be incorporated.)
It's a lot harder with ESD because combat makes less sense on ESD. Because earning perks makes less sense on ESD than on a resource taxed station. Because ESD is less accessible to more of the playerbase than DS9 is. Because reference material exists for a better DS9.
Incidentally, my take on how the Quark's staircase should work is to have a "press F" option on it that triggers a cutscene of you walking up it and takes you up a level.
Oh I do hope they change the exterior of Earth Spacedock, that would be nice.
And maybe also move it to another position in Earths orbit?
Hey hey now!

Actually yeah I don't either. :P
Although I wouldn't argue with an interior redesign.

Want cheap commodities? Yeah you do. Commodity Cheat Sheet (includes food and data samples)
Want to make the game better? Might I suggest this form
And yes they can easily bring it back as a new HUB in a new expansion.
*takes out a small dives and push a button*
*a bright white light hits everyone in the eyes but the guy with sunglasses on*
There are no bombs under ESD
*Man in suit take off sunglasses and walk out room(/thread)*
That well do for now...
I can still move.
I can still fight.
I will never give up!
Surely we passed that mark over a year ago?

That only happened because there is no wet t-shirt contents allowed in Spacedock...
