Bombs under ESD!

Why are there bombs under ESD?

Just logged into my character and found myself below the floor near the tailor. No big deal except I was standing on crates with bombs attached to them!

    That happened to me also except I fell through the floor and started plummeting toward earth.

    They are the holoemitters for ESD. To protect the various people that are stationed on ESD, they are not actually there. Some of them are actually just holograms like the Vendors. Admiral Quinn and Ambassador Sugihara are actually at very secure locations and utilize telepresence to conduct their business on ESD. In fact, ESD is just a huge hologram. ESD is just the prototype for all future ships and stations of the Federation. All they need to create a facility is an energy source and an extremely advanced holoemitter. This secret was supposed to be revealed a couple of years from now when all the glitches were removed. Some of the glitches involved people getting outside the ESD. Thankfully, the forcefield containing the air extends 100 meters past ESD's walls.

    Like they should put bombs in the attic? Bombs always get stored in the basement. :rolleyes:

    or...
    They are there in case the game bugs out again and the KDF players can invade and kill ESD npcs again.

    How else are they supposed to self destruct the place in case of hostile takeover? Complete with the whole dramatic entry code sequence. "Zero, zero, zero... DESTRUCT.... zero."

    I suspect those bombs are part of a complex system designed to detonate the Secret Underground Room in case of hostile takeover.
