I am just wondering if you guys could keep her around for a little while. I have 10 eggs and can only hatch one at a time. It would be nice to cash them all in for marks. Anyway, it's probably too late but it never hurts to ask.

I am there right now and no she is not. I haven't looked around the whole island but she is not where she was.
I was just at Risa. and she was not there.

As of yesterday, she was still on Risa. Unless today's patch changed something, she should still be there. I think you can still buy eggs with favors from the vendor, but I'm not sure you would want to.
There was no way to get MORE eggs. Put her back so we can use the pile of eggs we have left, please. I have a small pile of eggs, and the birds that just completed from the last batch of doff projects I did. Do I just delete them? Leave them taking up inventory or bank space till next year in hopes I'll be able to do something with them?
Taking her out, I think, was somewhat pointlessly mean.
I guess she was removed with today's patch.
I am beginning to think they saw how many birds and eggs were still in players' inventory and saw removing her as a good way to sell extra bank slots.
Yes - I have close to 15 birds to trade in - (I was waiting to see which one I wanted to keep as a pet at the end) and one more egg to hatch for that matter - Kinda sucks that she is gone - she could have been kept around so people can finish off with the UN-TRADABLE stuff that is in their inventory. I would hate to think I did all that work for nothing in the end - and bit of warning that she was going would have been nice. (and I read through the patch notes at 7am Eastern time this morning and certainly didn't see it mentioned or I would have tried to jump on to unload)
You had an extra month to convert your Winter Epohhs and even turn in extra tags at the GPL Console at DS9 or Drozana, but not with the Birds. People are stuck with eggs or birds they cannot turn in, the Ornithologist should've remained available to complete the projects until the 31st, or have options to turn-in at the GPL Consoles.
She may be back next year, so hold onto them if you'd like. We did let players know in our blog and forum post that went up on the 8th: http://sto.perfectworld.com/news/?p=954911
It looks like she stuck around a few extra days but left her post as of today.

I'd like to add my vote to that. Add the Risian birds to the GPL Conversion unit to allow turning in what birds we do have for marks please?
You guys left the Winder Eppohs around and I can still even trade those in today if I had any. I still got tons of winter items I trade in for GPL (which I also can do today) when I need it. What is the difference? What would it have hurt to leave her there permanently? Granted there is a blog and a post about it, but Crypic has even said the forums only reach a small amount of players. This is just as pointless as the console icon update...... I'm not a very happy customer....
The difference is that the Ornithologist also gives doff assignments to raise your birds. The Winter Epoch assignments were removed, you can only turn them in, not raise them to the next age category.
Which is why my request was for them just to add a trade in to the GPL Conversion Unit, which is not the same thing as just leaving her there permanently. That is the difference.

I only started doing the summer event stuff right at the end of it, and in only a couple days of farming Horgh'ans I got 34 eggs across three characters.
I've managed, in the time since, to hatch only 13 of those, and turned in only one senior (the first I got, the other three are still ticking).
The drop rate being as high as it was, there *needs* to be something to do with the leftovers. Including the eggs.
I'll paraphrase:
Sucks to be you. Suck it up. We don't want to hear anyone elses opinions.
At a MINIMUM you could give us the same options we had with Epohhs after the Winter Event. The correct thing to do is to just lease the Bird lady there for us to clear all the left over eggs out of our inventory.
Why can I still trade in a winter epohh today in Aug. six months after that event but not birds three days after the summer event??
please let us hand them in, like the winter epohh.

No, for the reasons I stated above. Just add an entry to the GPL Conversion Unit so that we can turn in the birds we have for marks.
It's almost as if we were asking about this a couple weeks ago...

Could we get the same treatment for the tropical birds? My Reman has a couple birds I couldn't get raised all the way and want to get whatever marks I can, as well as he has 18 eggs left.:( Thankfully, I finally got the last tufted bird I needed and managed to get the assignment started to raise it to senior several hours before server maintenance the day the event ended.:P
Edit: I don't quite remember but I think it took them a little while before adding a trade in to the GLP conversion unit for leftover winter epohh tags and epohhs. I suspect they are already working on a solution (I hope).
