I'm getting a bit of intermittent oddness from the Exchange the last few days when I try and post items for sale, and once or twice a day I get the error message
"Unable to post your items for sale. Your items have been placed back into your inventory."
And for the next 10-15 minutes I can't post anything, that item or anything else. I do have open sale space and mail space and inventory space and so on, it just refuses. Then in a little while, its all good again. Doesn't matter which side I'm playing or where I'm trying to post from, its just random and intermittent (as near as I can tell). Hope its ultimately minor.

Anyone else seeing this?
Yes, I've had this very thing going on lately. Last week it seemed that I could only post up to 14 items on the Exchange. While this week, it seems to be up to 17 items. Still won't let me post 40 items total, as it used to. It's rather annoying really.

A few patches ago they changed things in game. They didn't want players to use the mail system as an infinite bank for storing items anymore.
Basically what they did is, if you have any items returned from the exchange due to it expiring, each item returned to your character reduces the amount of slots for selling stuff in the exchange by 1. This is per character, so it should only affect characters with returned items.
So if you have 10 returned items for a character, you can only post 30 items in the exchange until you claim the items from the mail on that character.
This is the only thing I can think of that would prevent players from posting up to 40 items on a single character.
*Note, you can only claim returned items from the mail on the character that originally posted them in the exchange.
It doesn't help that the erroring item doesn't actually ever get returned to your inventory, either. I have no idea where it WENT, or even which object it is talking about, but nothing has ever been returned to my inventory, ever. I just hope it wasn't an important object, because whatever item it was, it failed to ever return as nothing was added to my inventory.
I got a Mk XII VR Disruptor Turret accx2/crtd, worth 8mil'ish, bought an underpriced one for 5mil, posted them both on the exchange and... drumroll please... It turned them into Nanite Disruptors accx2/crtd. Erm, k. Same thing happened to a fleet mate. So I blew 5mil on a busted turret that wasn't busted until the exchange broke it. And of course my properly submitted bug report ticket has vanished into the ether.
