Everything has a blue hue when playing?

Well, I don't know if this is an issue with my computer or with the game or some combination of such, but yeah.

I recently adjusted the game's brightness settings, and now whenever I play the game, everything has a pale blue-ness to it. I tried adjusting the settings to what they were originally, but it the blue hue remained.

Also, the colors are normal when the game is in windowed mode (and I, say, click on my Start bar so the game isn't totally up front), but when I actually go back to playing the game, the hue returns.

Blah. I dunno how to explain it further. :x

And also, this is the computer/laptop I have, if the information there helps:

This might be a silly question, but you're not on Drozana station when this happened, are you?

Well, I kinda was. I was doing the mission What Lies Beneath with my new-ish KDF character about a week or so ago. I decided the up the brightness settings a bit, and now everything is some degree of pale blue and has remained that way, even after leaving and playing with my other characters and so-on.

And I would have posted a screenshot, but whenever I paste the screenshot into MS Paint, the colors in it are normal. :/

If there's technical issues while playing that don't show up during screencaps - you have some sort of hardware corruption.

Fiddle with your video card cable, classic symptom of a loose one. Or your card is dyeing

    Oh, lord, I hope it isn't dying. ;w;

Right now, I'm starting to open up various other games to see if the same issue occurs (it doesn't in Sins of a Solar Empire or The Sims 3-- loading up Neverwinter right now). From there, I'll probably uninstall and reinstall STO and see if the issue remains.

I'm really hoping it's not a video card issue, or at least not an issue that would require money to fix. :/

Try jiggling the cable, if anything happens then you have a loose connection. Is the start up to sto a diff color?

    Or.your desktop?

Yeah, it is. Whenever I start up the game and onward, it has a blue hue. It goes away whenever the game is off, minimized, has another program/window on top of it, etc. The colors for my desktop (etc) are only affected if I'm actively playing the game in windowed mode. If I click on the desktop or another program, the colors go back to normal.

The hue didn't occur with Neverwinter either, so if the issue isn't resolved after I've finished reinstalling STO, I guess I'll have to fiddle with stuff in my laptop. :/

Kinda afraid that I'll make the situation worse, though. :v

it sounds to me like some graphical setting in game got messed up, try fiddling with the in game brightness settings again.

Well, the colors went back to normal after I reinstalled it. Tried adjusting the brightness settings again, but then the blue hue came back. :/

So, I've once again reinstalled it. I don't feel like adjusting them again only to have to wait five hours to once again reinstall/update the game. :v

Ah, well. I wish I had a more permanent fix to this issue beyond "don't **** with the brightness settings anymore," but eh. :P
