For a better audio quality they should have taken the direct output from the PA system and plugged it in to the mixing board. Not only is it common sense its also part of whatever TV/radio training I had gotten back in school.

Yeah, and a tripod camera stand with wifi to the booth.
The video is out of synch and so small/low quality you can't see anything anyway, next year they should just focus on quality audio so the thing can actually be understood.
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone

I issue is Creation Con - they control what's allowed to be streamed and how it's streamed. They want you AT the Con spending money, not watching it for free on the internet. Yes, for HUGE reveals (like when STO was first announced as being made); they'll allow high quality streams (and the company requesting it pays a major premium); but for something like this, we've lucky we get anything live.
Also, the panel isn't really tooled to existing players per se (as you can tell so far); this is a marketing stunt (and nothing wrong with that) to get new players to try the game.
