No romulan Boff recruiting mission (missing)

So the last time I saw a recruit romulan bridge officer doff mission was about 3 weeks ago (and I know they only appear in tau dewa / romulan command).

Were these removed? Are they now bugged? Or am i just unlucky? I check both sectors several times daily; I've even tried running plain old "recruitment" missions in the hopes of perhaps unlocking them.

    I've never seen them. I don't spend tons of time at NR, but I go there from time to time. Either I'm really unlucky, they're super rare, or they're bugged. I don't understand why we can only get them in TD/NR either. Romulans would be scattered all over the galaxy after the destruction of their homeworld. Surely some of them would end up on DS9, Drozana, etc. Why can't we recruit those survivors from all over the place?

    They are supposed to be very rare - I've managed to run them about 6 times in varying forms (engineer, random, etc), as well as gotten both rare and very rare ones.

    Then about two weeks ago, they just stopped appearing. I want to say it was right around the time they fixed the risa racing mission for the select few who couldnt complete it (i was one of those unfortunate few, which is why it sticks out).

    Yeah, I barely see them. I've even hit Rank 4 on a few of my Duty Ranks, those types don't need DOFFs to start. Those don't even show up or haven't. Also, rarity wise, I think it's listed as Uncommon so you should see it at least a few times, even rare DOFF Missions show up Daily/Hourly. Purples you might see once every 3 days.

    I think they are just coded bad, if you remember, they forgot to put them in to start with so I doubt they even got the missions timing/pop-up right.

    Heck, I see Recruit Klingon or Human more in that area then Romulan/Reman so I kno that kant be right

    Systems:
    Romulan Captains now have access to a series of "Bridge Officer Applicant" Recruitment assignments which can reward Romulan or Reman Bridge Officer candidates of Green or better quality depending on the outcome.

    These assignments will only appear in Tau Dewa Sector, New Romulus Command, and are not common.

    It means they range from uncommon to very rare.

    But I would like to chime in on this.

    A day or two after this patch I found 1 assignment at the command center to get a romulan boff candidate for my reman character. Haven't seen any others since. Neither in Tau Dewa or the command center.

    About 3 weeks ago I made a romulan character. A few days after creating the character I found 1 assignment for a romulan boff candidate at the command center and a few days later found 1 in Tau Dewa. Haven't seen any since. However, I allied my romulan with KDF and in Tau Dewa, First City, and various other sectors I've gotten around 15 KDF bridge officer candidates (Gorn, Naussican, Orion, Klingon, etc.). KDF seemed to have always had those types of assignments pop up more than other factions.

    I've been checking Tau Dewa and New Romulus Command almost everyday since the assignments were added to get Romulan and Reman boffs. Still have yet to find a Reman boff candidate assignment.

    I wish they would fix this. Out of curiosity, about 2 weeks ago I checked the price on purple quality Reman engineer boffs in the exchange and they started at 17 MILLION EC. :eek:

    It does seem like the assignments are bugged. From the looks of things we should get at least uncommon assignments, but they all seem to be ultra rare instead.

    Edit: If I remember right, all 3 assignments I've found so far to get a romulan bridge officer candidate were rare.

    Too rare, it seems

    I was getting 1 to 3 per week from the June 20th patch, and then as i mentioned they just disappeareed about 2 weeks ago.

    I could just be very unlucky, but considering I check both sector and command several times daily, I was beginning to wonder if it was something else.

    So far, only the one has said they've seen one recently. And considering how I was among the unfortunate few that also had the bugged risa pearl daily, I was curious if it possibly character specific.

    Judging by the patch notes I posted, we should be seeing these assignments at the very least in the uncommon rarity, and I've only found 3 total assignmets of the rare quality between 2 characters since they were added to the game.

    So far I've gotten around 10-15 Rom boffs including several Remans, 1 with superior infiltrator and have another in the works at the moment.

    I generally pop over to the Crateris mission in Tau Dewa and check every so often when i think about it but I do have 1 farming reman parked in sector space over new romulus she has netted me 2 boffs the boff mission cycles every hour if it will appear or not. at the end of my day I recall all romulans to crateris and check for the boff mission then when i log in check each rom toon again b4 generally doing other things it seems to be vary rare but it does pop.

    I used to be able to get rom boffs even though they were rare, but after the nebula removals, those rom boff missions hasn't appeared at all. Zilch, checking every day on all my rom characters. Only human, bajoran, and other non-rom boff missions appear.

    The evidence is clear on the exchange, the rom superior romulan operative boffs have dramatically increased in price, doubled in price and increasing.

    As well, used to be able to get doffs from nebulas, but now the mission that gives it is missing.
    Something must have been deleted when the nebula areas were removed.

    I didn't notice the first date on the thread so it could be considered necro (it was the first link on google search which means it was most common). But the same problem of missing rom boff mission appeared recently as well.
