Overflow Bag refusing to give up contents

My Overflow Bag is ALWAYS TRIBBLE up and refusing to give me its contents. At the moment, there are Marks that I can't use because of it.

Anybody else having this problem?

    How would marks even be in your overflow bag since they're not an inventory object?

    Some missions, Crystalline entity for example, drop a box that gives you a choice of marks. This box goes into your inventory until you decide to use it.

    I had the same problem when there was only one item left to be taken out of. It kept telling my inventory was full (got 12 spaces empty).

    My "fix" was to fill up my inventory again, do some ker'rat to get some reward drops directly in the overflow bag and only then trying to get all of those reward out at once.

    That got the bloody thing out of the bag.

    just try to open it everytime you logg onto that character...one time a overflow bag finally opened up after 3 weeks or so.
    it may be depending where you are too, so try ground, space, etc...the bug may be tight to the zone you are in.

    I had the same problem, i linked the useable items from the "available skills" list into the skill tray, from there i was able to activate the items.
    Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...

    The fix is easy...

    Close the game, go back to Windows, and relaunch STO. Logging out does not fix it. The game has to be totally shut down.

    Simple.

    I've routinely had stuff go into the overflow bag despite a totally empty inventory, so clearly, the system by which objects get added to your inventory at all is very buggy.

    Ah fair enough. I haven't played any of the content that gives you a choice between marks, so that's good to know.

    this has been going on for a while. half the items droped i can't pick up. if an item with no strings/code pops up in game then HOPE TO GOD IT DOESN'T END UP IN THE OVER FLOW BAG.. it happened to me. after complaining for 3 WEEKS they fixed my over flow bag..

    3 Weeks? You are one of the lucky ones.... there are people that had to wait 3-6 months... For a pretty critical issue... Maybe time to buy a lottery ticket :) And if you think lottery tickets are to high chance of winning .. Play the lockbox lottery!!!

    To the OP issue: Log in and out/change char until it resolves.. last time it only took me 3 times until I could get my things in the overflow bag.

    That's the normal Windows fix for most things. Tried that, didn't work.

    Mine finally gave up it's contents after more items went into the Overflow. Otherwise all it would say when I tried to take the items is "Inventory Full" even though it wasn't.

    Possible workaround: fill your Inventory again, get drops, empty some slots, try to Take again.

    Thanks for the suggested fixes...

    Anyone know what items go into the overflow bag? Most of the time you just can't collect items when your inventory is full. I've been thinking I might try the overfilling the inventory and getting another item in there fix to try to resolve the issue... but I don't want to risk having another marks package I may not be able to use. Suggestions?

    Any drops from STFs that are a completion conditional (i.e. Marks Boxes, BNPs, and bind-on-equip items).

    I will try the stuffing-the-inventory-again idea. None of the other suggestions have ever worked for me, including the logging out/in, shutting off/on, etc. that are mentioned above. Other than filling out a bug report and a service ticket (which hardly ever works, by the way) those were the first things I tried before posting here.

    I will post here again if forcing the Overflow Bag to catch drops works (or not).
