Hangar craft not re-docking with the mothership on Recall

This is happening with the JHDC using Elite Scorpions on numerous maps. I've sat still for about 60 seconds with recall and the fighters are not re-docking. I'm seeing maybe one fighter re-dock and the rest stay outside the mothership.

Romulan Drone pets aren't docking either, at least most of the time.

The few times they do dock they fail to recover any health like they are supposed to.

Will they also be fixing the issue with how Carrier pets dont initiate full impulse when you do?

The issue seems to be that the pets stay too far from the docking area of the ship or that said docking area was made too small. You can pick them up manually if you run into them after waiting 15 seconds.

Thanks for the tip. The fact they weren't docking was driving me nuts. At least I can throw my Recluse into reverse and hoover up my pets now, but it's not something you can do during an ESTF.

Either way, I really appreciate the changes that Cryptic have introduced for hangar pets generally.

Same here until the patch they docked. Now even after waiting more than 15 secnonds 99% of the time they don't dock just sit there. On the odd occassion they do dock getting them to relaunch is a pain.

Was in azura just now and 2 of my elite jem as pets on my jem dread failed to return and dock with the global recall button (also tried the 2 recalls on the pets ui) no responce. They were engaging a mirror ship if that helps in any way. Had to kill the mirror ship myself instead of ignoring it to go to another roid then hope recall worked but nope its like they were stuck in attack mode. Other 2 tho docked ok so duno why.

Most of the time recall worked just that one time with that mirror ship it seemed to cause 2 out of 4 pets to ignore recall. Tried other commands and then recall still no go on it.

Also can we please get a instant dock if within 0.5km or somit without the awkward moving around for about 20 secs then they dock (only if ur moving slow or stopped, if fast then longer). I bet cryptic doesnt even use splines for established docking paths...

There are so many things wrong with pet behavior now I don't even know which topic to post in.

For example I've seen that the whole "They won't attack targets more than X distance" makes them useless in certain instances. Like when I switch them from one mode where they refuse to do what they're supposed to, what the patch notes says they'll do, to another, they just stop dead and refuse to move. In one instance I think it was because they wandered too far away for no reason, doing nothing, then I switched commands and while I was 2km from my target, they were more like 15km, so they just stopped dead. So it seems as if the "fix" for one problem didn't fix it, and instead created a new problem.

So recall doesn't work, they don't dock, or 1-3 of them dock and the other 3 don't, but it doesn't seem to recall them all the time anyway, especially once they've wandered off out of range for seemingly no reason.

Intercept doesn't work, it tends to cause them to take turns with them either wandering about way off screen at something I never targeted, sticking close to me but doing nothing, or stopping dead.

Attack works sometimes, but rarely since any of the above two bugs results in them being either too far away to command, or by the time they get back in range I've already killed said target.

And I haven't tried escort much, mostly because I've been too busy trying to get them to do ANYTHING else they're supposed to.

Anyway, can someone verify if the new range thing is based on them, or your ship? Would it be possible to just make it so you can relaunch any craft that has wandered off out of range? Or make it so the recall command actually, I don't know, recalls them?

The new range appears to be range from the mothership and not relative to the fighter. Not sure with Escort mode as it appears to be jacked again. All I use now is Intercept, Attack and Recall (though my fighters don't dock).

Hi, i am having all the same problems with my Advanced FerJai Frigates on my KarFi carrier.

Everything has gone mad since last patch.

Shield Repair Drones are also acting suspiciously and healing themselve nonstop but not my ship. and they are incredibly noisy. Other players also noticed and told me so.

Even this doesn't work for me.

It is getting annoying now atleast before if they bugged we could relaunch them, but not anymore. What looked like a promising change has turned out to be a let down.

I figured out the problem behind this...

#1. If they are at full health they will not dock at all.

#2. If they are below 100% health you have to reverse into them to get them to dock.

    Hope this helps.

Like what Mr. Branflakes said earlier in this thread, they are investigating the issue! And, I am also encountering this said issue on my Mirror Vo'Quv Carrier!
