So, I load my STO launcher and right before I hit engage - what do I see? New Klingon ships availible now! The B'rotlh and Qaw'Dun on a red background.
I mean, we knew they were comming ages ago and they have been in the game since the 21-st, I own both. Yes, they are only Tier 1 and Tier 2. But man does it feel good to see "New Klingon ships availible now" with the 2 BoPs in the launcher.
It's the little things that can make me happy. I just got a warm feeling seeing an actual Klingon ship being promoted in the launcher.
I can't even remember when was the last time I had the priviledge to see that. Let's hope we have that priviledge a bit more often in the future!
Besides, I'm in love with my B'rotlh.
I just love the way it looks, it's soo sweet. I love it it's the B'rel of the 25-th century!

Might give the new BOP's a check, when I decide to make a new KDF side character, as I only have a Sci capt so for.:D

They gave away your leech, the only 5 tac console ship you have has a turn rate of 5, all of the Romulan ships have battle cloak and dont suffer the hull strength reduction of the BOPs.
Its enough to make a proud Klingon warrior cry, ain't it?
This brings up another point, should all KDF Birds of Prey be able to use all the parts of other Birds of Prey's regardless of tier. It would give us finally some really awesome customisation options. Same can be said about the Raptors.
Check your customizations for the B'rel retro then.
Unless this ship differs from the Koro't'inga, Vor'kang or the Ning'tao it should also work as an unlockable skin for the B'rel retro, fleet and non-fleet.
The Romulans only have one class of ship until they reach level 40. I hate doing Mirror Invasions as a Captain because I see so many Romulans in that fat Warbird using DHCs and staying perfectly still so they can face the Terrans. If they had a proper choice like KDF/FEDs, I wouldn't mind, as they start off with Escort-grade turn rates and it sorta slows down at level 20, but level 30 is like I said, suddenly Cruiser!
That and I find the base 40 power for all systems to be aggravating to say the least. The battle cloak is cool, but I've seen them targeted while cloaked and a bunch of quantum torpedoes will quickly shred a cloak warbird. The Warbirds are almost all sorta in the jack of all trades situation due to weird BOFF thing going on, you have to plan out which BOFFs you take in advance as you'll lose a tac/sci/eng boff slot when transitioning to the more traditional cruiser/escort/science vessel-types that show up at level 40.
As awesome as the singularity core powers are, they take a bit too long to build up for my taste and they also take up space on my hotbars.
I do think the KDF should have kept a 5-tac console ship to them, likely a Heavy Qin variant or something available to Fleets.
That sounds like a glitch...but then...from what I hear the Haakona seperation console only works on the Hakona and the non-fleet Ha'apax even though it should work on the Fleet-version as wel..;)
Yes you have pictured the situation very well except the crying part .
I refuse to be content https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwI0u9L4R8U
Given the amount of ship and customization related funkiness going on at the moment (*glares at the Exeter*), it would surprise me greatly if costumes not being available is just another one.
Well, so far I'm loving the Enhanced Induction Coils console from the B'rotlh, but I'm used to this type of conole cause I also love the Enhanced Plasma Manifold from the Oberth. It gives me the boost I sometimes really need and allows me to play around with my power levels a bit.
I can't really say about the Shield Destabilizer from the Qaw'Dun, because I must admit that I was more entangled with my new Klingon, slowly leveling and soaking up the content, so I haven't tried it on my other chars at end game nor against human players, only NPCs. If someone has tested it, please share, or I'll just do it when I test it's effects agains a friend.
I'm almost certain that it's suposed to be availible at Tier 5 as a skin for the B'rel. Have to admit (*puts head down in shame*) I haven't thought of trying it with my B'rel Retrofit because the past week I was playing with the new chars. I think that not being able to use it at the fleet vesrion it's probably a bug/glitch just like the one with the Romulan ships, it makes no sense to be availible for the retrofit, but not for the fleet version.
Did you see any crying in my post? Seems like a pretty happy one to me, just like I feel.
Besides, why would Klingons cry when we obviously have so much Feds. interested in crying and whining enough for everyone in this game, including factions that haven't been brought up yet.
The T2 ship console I have been using on my lvl 50 Orion Engineer and level 15 Romulan tactical and it seems to work okay against NPC's though I haven't really tested it other than activate it and keep fighting. It's a shame it's a toggle weapons with a 3 min cool down. I'd must rather it be like the leech and work all the time and gradually drain the power.
I think that any issues regarding the customization of the B'rels were fixed in the latest patch. It works fine for me now.
I do keep it in my active ships roster just cause its nice to look at
I'll support that. Granted, I like to mix-and-match ship parts, to come up with my own "class" of ship, only ship I think I've ever kept as is, were the Fleet Excelsiors, and the retrofit Excelsiors, (and one Rihan Warbird that really doesn't have any options to mix parts around so far.). But just about every other ship I own, Fed, Rihan, or Klin, are all pieced together from options available to create my own custom-looking ship.

Lol, don't feel bad, I keep almost all my levelling through ships. Only one I got rid of so far, was the Miranda on my Tac Fed, as I'm trying to keep her all escorts. But my sci and eng Fed characters, so far have all cruisers, so the Miranda fits in. And my Sci KDF kept both versions of the Kamarag, the regular and the refit one, although I use the Mirror Vo'Quv on her.

But i guess we had to wait few more years for next faction to get something added for KDF fleetyards.
MIND BLOWN, please deattach hands from guy who was in charge of getting this BoP in game, and beat him with his own hands.

It's actually the same ship but it appears someone failed to do basic QA and change the name for the model on all incarnations of the ship in question...*facepalm*
Really? Did you report it as a bug? This has to be another bug since the B'rotlh skin works fine for the C-Store B'rel.
I must admit, it's disheartening when I see things like this show up, especially if I take into consideration the Corsair/Scourge customization bug that has been with us for about a year now. I really like the B'rotlh skin for my B'rel retrofit and I'd like to be able to use it on the fleet version once my fleet builds the T5 shipyard.
I might be wrong, but I don't think you can except buying them for dilithium. The existing captains we had before LoR didin't start at warrior level, so they don't have the opportunity to get the free ships through promotion, as they already are Lieutenant Generals.
I can be wrong as I haven't really tried to get one of those on my pre-LoR chars, but I believe this to be the case.
I've found that using the Mogai/Valdore from 20 to 40 works best. Turn matters more than the meager upgrades the 30 DD offers.

Oh stop your bellyaching warriors! Seriously you are doing the KDF a disservice.
Let us take a cue from the Borg's playbook and ADAPT!
We have got ships that have the highest turn rate in the game short of the Jem'Hadar Attack Ship and they can cloak as good as a Romulan ship. We have Battlecruisers that put the Federation and Romulans to shame in their ability to spin on a Shuttle!
What do they got? Singularity Cores and the ability to break our cloaks. So what! I say we start showing the Federation and Romulans that the true power of a Warrior is not in his ship but in the determination of his heart!
Q'upla!
This is like patting at the back of the weak to encourage them.
A bunch of bull**** the facts are the same.
We are UNDERPOWERED compared to other two factions.
We have less and WEAKER ships than the other two factions.
Besides the ''warrior'' bull**** for kids i cant find another reason to keep on paying on KDF side.
And i dont have free time to lvl up an romulan toon.
Even if i do greedy PWE will create another faction that is even more powerful to gather more money and the story keeps on going.
Enough we are customers also and if you want our money you better give us something that is worthy to spent our money on it not t1 and t2 useless BoP's.
Even t5 BoP suck since romulans counter us and have 100 times better combat cloack and stuff.
This is pathetic some KDF prolly PWE personel come here and tell us we should be underpowered cause we are warriors.
Its like they seek ''idiots'' us so we offer target practice to the real faction.
P A T H E T I C
It's not that the Romulans have more ships it's that their line up is better thought out than ours is.
Want a Sci Escort? Dhelan. How about Engineering? Mogai. Pure Tac? Ha'Feh.
All available at both T5 and Fleet.
The Fleet Ha'Feh has a Universal Lt.Com and pays no penalty for it's cloaking device unlike Klingon ships that lose Hull and Shield.
Their weakest link is currently Science but the Ha'nom is fantastic at that job. Can use DHC's & Battle Cloak.
If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why.
When I insult you I won't be discreet about it, I will be precise and to the point stupid.
