I am sick of Cryptic focusing on fixing TRIBBLE while ignoring the real game breaking bugs that exist in this game. All they ever do is ruin the game even further.
Kerrat was fine the way it was even with the "Switching sides" bug but now that they have fixed that it is impossible for a KDF player to play that map. It is just a federation camp ground now and the only advantage that the KDF had was a battle cloak and they do not even have that any-more.
I play kerrat to get drops and if the map was heavily fed as it usually is then I would switch sides to have a chance of winning but now you can't do that anymore and because there are a lot more fed players than KDF players it is almost impossible for a KDF player to win the map.
If the ability to switch allegiance is not brought back to Kerrat then it should not allow massively unbalanced teams. There should only be a 1 player swing in Kerrat in that if there are 5 kdf players and 6 fed players then it should not let any other Fed players join until the numbers are balanced at 6/6 and vice versa of course.
The map is completely unplayable as a KDF player any-more, this needs to be addressed
Good.... Dont you have a similar open PVP (K vs K) map near your home planet? If KDF stop showing up then I can farm in peace without cocky BOP captians trying to Alpha strike me all the time.

I'm in agreement with this guy.
Whilst i don't go out of my way to attack KDF players when i'm hunting for drops, Sometimes i've even passed within 3Km of somebody in a bop, who's having trouble with a cube.
I Draw the aggro, they take down the cube, and then proceed to cloak/alphanuke/clustermine/cloak me again and again.
Not to mention, i'll never fire at spawn, but instead of the KDF players, you know, Hunting the spawnkillers they will endlessly attack the lone cruiser who's loot hunting.
One thing i've noticed, i hardly ever see BoP's engaging escorts. They will almost always target ships that have no chance against them.

I do agree that spawn camping is just... low. Very low.
usually its the other way around. But it's funny how the second you decide to stop hunting the BOP's and actually do the mission thats when they decide to finally decloak
Most of the time its the same 4 or 5 KDF BOP captians in Kerrat every night. And your correct they dont like to go after ships that are a threat. They want to get a 2 second instal-kill on a cruiser and then cloak and run. If they have to dog fight they will not attempt a decloak. Some times they will bring out a JHAS and try to fight but that just ends up with them getting chased all over the map. But sometimes at night the KDF Fleet (cannot name) but they are the highset tier starbase for KDF. Will get aobut 7 or 8 of them and camp the spawn. As soon as anyone logs in they get focused killed. WHen they do that its best to just log out.
Good.... Dont you have a similar open PVP (K vs K) map near your home planet? If KDF stop showing up then I can farm in peace without cocky BOP captians trying to Alpha strike me all the time.
You think that KDF has enough players to fight themself? EVEN THOUGH Its a PvP factoin? And Stop... you know KDF has Qo'nos and Gandala and Semi Risa.. and you have Sol System, Vulcan, Andoria, Space Stations of Coutless Galor! KDF has nothign to show for, EVEN RUTHA PENTHE is blcoked to us! And no we have no planetlike that.... only ones we get are Otha in Eta as well as one or two others.. thats IT.
R'tolves Will Spread Thier Peace and Will Prevail Over the Hostiles Who Dare Hurt Such A Isolationist Consitutional Monarchy!
If you want to farm as a KDF without the Feds kicking your bottom then go to N'Vak system, it's identical to Kerrat, only difference is you sometimes get Klinks attacking you too lol, must be a House thing!
Thats the thing if they forced balanced teams in Kerrat I wouldn't have a problem but they don't. I complete the map mission in less than 5 minutes easy solo, takes them muppets twice that with a whole fleet but you just can't compete because you decloak and there are three or four of them there to crush you in seconds.
Before the fix in Kerrat you would get klingons attacking you there too
EDIT:
Thanks for the heads up, its not exactly the same but the drops are the same so N'vak will be my new haunt!
LOL Feds camp as much as Klinks, everyone and his targ has done it and some do it more than others. I personally try to fly off from spawn but as most feds have their weapons on Autofire (maintain) rather than (Toggle Cancels) you are under fire as soon as you spawn in.
Definitely, Feds spawn kill much more than KDF players (Infact, i've never seen more than 3-4 KDF in one game so them spawnkilling me is a nonissue.)
The main problem i have, is the "Let's ignore the guys who are parked around spawn, and hunt down the Cruiser who doesn't even have a chance to fire back before your Cluster torps blow him to pieces" thing.
Kerrat was fine the way it was even with the "Switching sides" bug but now that they have fixed that it is impossible for a KDF player to play that map...
So what you're really saying, is that Kerrat wasn't fine "even with" the allegiance bug, but only because of the allegiance bug. That you need Federation players to be forced into supporting the Klingon Empire against their will. That was and will continue to be unacceptable.
Now if they want to put in something that lets people switch teams voluntarily, fine. If they want to betray the Federation, or simply stop you from spawncamping them by being on your team, I'm fine with that. As long as it's the player's choice. I insist however that in any map where Klingons fire upon Federation vessels, I be able to fire upon the Klingon vessels. I do not think that's an unreasonable position for me to take.
Really though, most Feds in Kerrat are there for the three daily missions, or the loot from the PvE bit. As opposed to the Klingons, who do really nothing but skulk around while cloaked and attack the cruiser fighting the tactical cube while it's shields are drained. I hardly think you're deserving (or in need) of any help at all, under those circumstances.
Or perhaps, considering it's a Borg infested region of space, you'd be happier if we enforced the Pax Omega there.
I was there a couple of hours ago with my Tac T'varo and again with my Tac Defiant. It was pretty lop-sided, but the KDF was still doing the decloak alpha on occupied targets. Alright by me though, I was decloak alpha'ing the decloaking alpha'ers. Good times ... good times

Ker'rat is the Fed map, N'Vak is the KDF map.
So basically, you are saying you want to limit the amount of Feds that can enter a Fed map.
Lol, I love it how the KDF always gets stereotyped into the things that the Feds do.
1. Spawncamping. Only once or twice in all the time I've been in Kerrat have I seen a KDF camp. Yet at almost every single reset, the Feds would camp the KDF's spawn point (or try to).
2. Running away in a fight/decloaking alphas on weak targets. Um, ok, you try go for sustained battle in a hull and shield weak ship (a BoP). Oh, and why would you not attack the weak target? But anyway, I see Feds running away waaaay more often.
3. KDF players can't fight alone so that's why they need multiple people. Yeah, no. That should be better applied to Feds.
Keratt is a free for all zone. You takes your chances.
As for being fed only yesterday i did my Keratt daily the KDF out numbered us Feds 3-1. Trying to get node transmissions with a PvP nut on yer tail. :P
But its all pot luck as i said.
As for getting rid of Kerrat. No its a fun open zone. We need more of them not lose the only one we have.
I only go for the daily dill. I never do Keratt in a cruiser. BoP, Defiant Retro, Tvaro retro. Small fast elusive and cloaked. Anything else is madness doing the loot runs with mad PvP and Borglets.
Monkey see, Monkey do. Monkey flings Feathered Monkey poo...
So basically, you are saying you want to limit the amount of Feds that can enter a Fed map.
No what I am saying is that the teams per zone should be balanced, not allowing 10 feds and one KDF. It should stop more feds entering that zone if they already have one more ship in zone than the KDF and vice versa
Only thing I find funny is KDF players beating their chest smugly and pretending as if they are better.
We all know damn well that they will take every single opportunity to camp Fed players, just as Fed players do, sure, they probably don't get the chance as often as Fed players do, since Kerrat usually has more Feds, but don't act all high and mighty by pretending all the things Fed players do in that map is beneath you KDF people.
It's ultimately pointless to fight the people at spawn, because they respawn within 10 seconds. It's just an endless battle with the attackers eventually wearing down. KDF doesn't like to spawncamp in Ker'rat nearly as much as the Federation does, it's boring.
In my relatively extensive experience with Ker'rat, it goes like this: KDF is usually outnumbered at least slightly. Most KDF try to stick around and fight it out, being as much of a thorn in people's sides as possible.
Eventually more KDF show up to even the odds, and suddenly the Federation doesn't have the advantage of numbers and starts getting blown up. Rather than organizing and fighting in a zone intended for PvP combat, the Federation just abandons the zone en-masse and just clutters up some other zone, stacking the odds 2-3 to 1 again.
When the odds are even, that's when Ker'rat gets really interesting. Federation players rarely want it to be interesting, because it interferes with their mindless, routine PvE farming.
I've noticed this particular chain of events happening regularly, and it sometimes culminates with a Feddie mining the spawn in order to keep the KDF dispersed (a sign of desperation, imo). Very rarely do I ever see a KDF player mining the spawn.
To the folks whining about KDF players 'picking on' solitary targets, let me explain something to you: A lot of the folks in Ker'rat are flying BoPs, since Ker'rat is the best place for BoPs to be used PvP-wise due to their limitations. BoPs are rarely able to actually stand up against a Fleet escort or a DPS-focused cruiser/carrier. The best players can last for a while, but they eventually have to break off. At the same time, they're also usually fighting against superior numbers of Federation players (including a lot of cruisers). So 'staying and fighting' is usually pretty stupid and results in fragile BoPs getting shredded for little reason beyond satisfying some Feddies standards of 'fair combat'. Most BoP pilots prefer to shoot for 'getting the kill and surviving'.
So, BoPs tend to hunt targets in packs of 2-3 BoPs, coordinating their decloak alphas to cripple and then destroy the target. It gets us kills (which is why we're there half the time) and helps slow down the Federation at least somewhat. Quit whining about BoPs using the tactics necessary to make them truly effective in PvP.
Also, I see PLENTY of Fed-Roms using these mean, mean BoP tactics themselves, and I see no Federation players complaining about that. Hypocrisy, much?
Only thing I find funny is KDF players beating their chest smugly and pretending as if they are better.
We all know damn well that they will take every single opportunity to camp Fed players, just as Fed players do, sure, they probably don't get the chance as often as Fed players do, since Kerrat usually has more Feds, but don't act all high and mighty by pretending all the things Fed players do in that map is beneath you KDF people.
We're not denying that KDF spawncamping happens. We're saying the Federation did it a hell of a lot more when the restart respawn was on the KDF spawnpoint. Even when the KDF have control of a zone, we don't always spawncamp.
Yes, the game needs more maps like Kerrat where you can sit there with your infinite invisibility power active and wait until someone is engaged with the PVE enemies, then re-appear and alpha strike someone at 10% and follow it up with childish remarks via zone/private message...
Can't believe anyone bothered with that stupid map in the first place... I guess it's fun for the people with infinite invisibility but I don't see the draw for anyone else...
Population is so unbalanced now I'm forced to troll on my sci brel using every doff and cheese console there is and sci spamming and decloaking people while cloaked. Just pick a KDF player that you think will be attacked a lot, then wait by him cloaked, when the Romulans decloak, subnuc and hit them with other consoles and sci spam, if they try to cloak again evasives up to them and CPB or tractor, then continue to spam them. Many end up leaving out of fustration then the population gets more balanced, making it playable for my KDF tac afterwards.
Its easy to build as it doesn't need rep or best gear, just needs good doffs mostly so everyone KDF should make a sci brel and keep it logged off near kerrat to help deal with Fed Roms. I get called a douche and a troll a lot with my sci brel so know it works great and is fun, and only way to stop the infestation.
Only thing I find funny is KDF players beating their chest smugly and pretending as if they are better.

Your foundless defence of the current state of Kerrat being that KDF are usually outnumbered by at least 3 to 1 leads me to believe that you worry about a fair balanced fight and that you know that you could not handle yourself if the numbers were even!

That age old argument again ''well your valid points are nothing more then you trying to maintain the status quo!!!''
I'm not worried one bit because I am barely, if ever, in Kerrat.
And now I wait for the typical ''then your opinion no matter!!!'' reply.
Again, KDF players shouldn't proudly beat their chest and give themselves a pat on the back while pretending they would never, ever, do the things that Feds do in Kerrat, because we all know that's bull**** in any open zone PvP game.
The camped side always TRIBBLE and moans about the campers and how they would never do such a thing themselves, then the moment they can turn the tables they do the exact same thing.
If players put as much effort into pvping as they do complaining about pvp, pvp would be vibrant in STO.
I guess its easier to complain about a pvp zone keeping one from farming effectively than it is to take the mature route and accept that one has willingly entered a dangerous zone.
Good.... Dont you have a similar open PVP (K vs K) map near your home planet? If KDF stop showing up then I can farm in peace without cocky BOP captians trying to Alpha strike me all the time.
